  • Conan...?

  • is it me or does this guy look like Conan O Brien?

  • @AscribetoCollective I would have to agree that he's Conan-esque... perhaps even Conanicious.

  • possibly conantastic? .....he's like Conan, wrapped in foil and chocolate on a popsicle stick!!!!

  • I'd lick him if I could, but thats not proper golf etiquette.

  • @AscribetoCollective They allow argyle golf knickers, but not licking? Harumph, I say....

  • @Oldshirt Yeah, but you wear the knickers over your twig and berries-- UNDERNEATH your pants...

  • @AscribetoCollective EXACTLY... This would lend some credence to the idea that at some point in Golf's ancient and sordid history, licking was probably allowed.

  • @Oldshirt yeah, well golfing was invented by shepherds....and Im pretty sure they were into licking.

  • @AscribetoCollective I guess I can see that now! This really makes the whole 'stick and ball' nature of the game quite metaphorical.

  • @Oldshirt Yes, and quite literal too--- rumor has it that the shepherds used the sheep's testicles as their golf balls

  • @AscribetoCollective I would have figured him as more a savory snack... But I'll give you the chocolatey angle. Well said...

  • To all you teachers out there, pro or not, make sure your student has a defined target area before spewing out tip after tip. The game is too influenced by individual perspective (sightlines mainly) to hand out generic advice. What you see is not always what they see. Either commit to/understand the student or be quiet and let them figure it out on their own. You"re probably ruining the fun of golf for them anyway.

  • old wine in new bags!!!!!!

  • This swing advice is especially good for older players with back problems. I'm 68 and learned a classic swing as a teenager, lots of lag, hard bump of left hip, strong down-the-line release. Now I can't turn as I did and torque my back. I'm trying to incorporate these one-plane concepts into a swing that was formed over 50 years ago. Lots of luck to me. lol

  • @wonderwarthog79

you'd need all the luck in the world hahaha! I think its the easier swing. i just started all over again and now trying to learn the one plane, it seems its good for terrible golfers like me. It makes perfect sense to me.

  • You guys have no idea what your talking about... on plane or not... tiger and hogan hip bump... The plane changes as your posture changes! And tiger and hogan move to the left only because their rotation brings them to the left side.... hence when the guy says "swing around the left side all the way to a full finish." You should know something about the golf swing before you rip a PGA instructor. There are plenty of pros using the One Plane!

  • One plane vs two plane lol You are either on plane or not. Good lord leave to golfers to try an reinvent the wheel.

  • agree. snrad said he fig ured it out swinging a hickory stick.

  • Well I have just never seen a video of any great golfer, take did not have some lateral hip motion. Hogan and Tiger are great examples of this motion. Plus how do you move the weight left if you just rotate?

  • As its been explained to me....your weight shouldn't be transferrd to the right side. Weight stays centred or even a little moreso on the left, even at height of backswing.

  • If your a good dancer then the two plane swing is for you but if you have trouble with timing then the one plane swing would suit you better.

  • Great tip just make sure you don't forget to move that weight to the front foot,a common mistake of the 1 planer.

  • wow awesome tips from mike labauve himself!

  • i like 1 plane better then 2

  • I really like this tip. I got the same advice from a pro but this guy explains it better.

  • WOW!!! Great tip, simple and to the point.

    Bravo!!!
