  • I love this song one of my favorites from CODA

  • i can see why my dad doesnt like this

  • i love this song. they should have left D'Yer Mak'er off of Houses when they recorded this. I don't understand why people say this song is weak. it fucking rocks.

  • 0 dislikes :)

  • Plant must have laid down the vocals between 79-80 by the sound of it.

I dont think he did it after that because he was trying to distance himself from Zep at the point his solo career began.

  • This destroys 99% of what the best rock bands can produce these days and yet it was a outtake for the mighty Led Zeppelin. Talk about immense power to spare...Zep had it.

  • This dog will hunt!!!!!!especially at 3:45. That's great rock music.

  • @theskiesaboveus

    THANK U CAPTAIN OBVIOUS!!!!

Go now and shoot urself...im not a troll, having period or a bad day.

  • at 0:22 the red text changes.

  • Coda has its moments. LZ fans should not overlook this album.

  • Nothing in this world can EVER beat, or even be compared to Zeppelin! The 0 dislikes, kinda proves that <3

  • One of my favs. FYI, This song was recorded for Zeppelin IV and the vocals were recorded when Coda was being mixed.

  • @LedZepfilm actually it was recorded during the Houses of the Holy sessions

  • @LedZeppQueenBeatles Ah, you're right.

  • 3:34 - Fantastic!!! Zeppelin forever!

  • It would have made In Through The Out Door a better album.

  • fuck yeah awsome rock

  • (Continued). Best bet is that he laid down the vocals in 78 or even 79 for the abandoned Knebworth EP, but I actually think he may have recorded the vocals after Bonham died specifically for the Coda release. That would explain the evasion in the credits, and also the incredible amount of pain in Rob's voice here. Check my channel for some good raw blues btw...

  • This is a wicked track, especially after it gets momentum going, and Bonham is absolutely brutal. But I always thought that the date given for this recording on the Coda notes was only partially correct, at best. They say it was recorded in 1972, and I can believe that with the music, but not with Rob's vocals. First, his tone is later era all the way, and more important, there's a ton of pain in his voice (and lyrics), which fits the later era as well.

  • @mielazul you're right,it's a known fact that mixing and Robert's part was done later, sound and voice is same as in "In Through The Out Door" album. But anyway it is an awesome track. No one in 80s,90s and 21st century could make this kind of sound, rampaging Bonzo, savage riffs by Page, driving bass by JPJ and anguish vocal by Plant. It's too bad they had to split, but as in the song, "It doesn't matter now" cause until 1980,they already built up what all the pop/rock followers cannot achieve.

  • The guitars on this song are the sonic equivalent of a nuclear meltdown.

  • I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who loves this song.

  • Im walkin the floor over you Im walkin the floor Every tear that falls is a smile that's lost When you hear the call can you count the cost?

  • This is what Zeppelin is about,it's not technique,it's this savage energy of 4 men who wanted to rock - and not to roll!

  • the outro is so hott.

  • omfg this is so awesome

  • ooooooooooooodanggggggggggggg

  • I remember when Coda came out , we bought it the second Sams opened, ran home put it on and it sounded pretty good until Walters Walk came on then soon the windows were rattling.

  • @auther89 hahahah I hear it!

  • john bonham

  • I think this is one of their really great hidden gems - relentless, intense, kind of scary. They always credit it to 1972 sessions, and that may be true for the music, but I think Plant must have done the vocals much later. Apart from the vocal tone, there's a lot of pain in there, especially as it goes along...and that seems to fit into the late stage of his life with Zep. I don't know for sure though. By the way, check my channel for some raw dark blues by Rosetta West. Hope you like it.

  • @auther89 I agree!!! always reminded that song! don't forget this song is an "outtake"...

  • why didn't i click on this sooner?

  • Zeppelin"s left off lp"s are better than the most of other bands regulars! imop

  • Not much of a bass-line, great guitar, voice and drums.

  • Ooooooooooooohhh

  • srry, i meant Presence

  • also, the only track thats on CODA that was ever even meant to be on CODA was Bonzos Montruex! I know, its hard to believe!

  • IN my CODA cd, it tells when each song was recorded. This on in perticular was recorded in July of 1972, which means it most likly to have been a setup song for the album, Houses of the Holy.

  • it also sounds like it would fit nicely in IN though the OUT door.

  • Coda's quite good in fact. Wearing and tearing blows me away time and time again.

  • Led Zeppelin is my all time favorite band but they are more than just rock there is so much and ive watch interviews with JPJ about this album and said that the recording took place when punk was big so if led zeppelin had a bit of punk influence to their last album then so be it. it just makes me love them more

  • The "coda" to this song is blistering.

  • I love this guitar riff.

  • Kind of sounds like this should be on Presence.

  • @probrojeffro I stuck this on a CD I burned with a bunch of Presence tracks, and I thought the same thing. Fits right in.

  • @probrojeffro this album consists of studio outtakes, this is probably and outtake from Presence

  • Congrats on the cat Howard;

  • This is way too syncopated to be punk! Rock On!

  • @tanniknar Punk has some very intellegent musicans in the scene who are good players just a hard genre to find people that arnt cry baby fucks

  • @MrConsityis3 I hope so! They should as sophisticated as you!

  • Not just the popular songs from Led are good!!!!

  • its sounds like an old punk rock

  • @ddos411 uh. No it does not.
