The only gripe I eve had with this, is they didn't use the sprite from Zelda II and went with the sprite of zelda I instead. Zelda II's sprite would have worked so much better here. (the side scrolling Link, he was designed for side-scrolling and he has the upper thrust and lower thrust).

Although I agree that this concept of the game is badass. I hate the fact that people love this flash game more than a group that has been going on for years making this kind of game. They're even releasing their 4th version soon. Which includes a guile (street fighter) disguised luigi, kirby, and many different levels. The current game already has halo power up, weapons and levels. Look at the channel MKFusionTeam for details.

I honestly didn't know that existed until people mentioned it in reference to this, it looks interesting and I'd probably like it, but I think the appeal here is the simplicity and focus on major nintendo characters, Fusion seems to be going overboard with the mashups. Still super impressive though.

The big difference with crossover and fusion, is that this one is mario levels meets characters from other games. In fusion, the characters don't look like they fit as well together either. Instead of doing a huge project with tons of mediocre stuff, Palvina stuck to a small project and maximized what little there is to work with.

Simon definitely sucks...in THIS game. In Castlevania, ok...but in Mario world he's terrible. Why should I have to duck to kill Goombas? And his jumping is retarded. Bill is a LITTLE better. Still have to duck to kill small enemies, at least until you power up. But his jumping is hard to control. You can't stop him in mid air. Mega-Man is my favorite. Samus is a close second. But with Samus, again...can't shoot small enemies until you power up. But once you do...it's awesome.

Simon isn't actually that bad. Though having played Castlevania many times, I've adapted to his jumping style and don't find it a problem. I still think the best character is Mario though - he's the only character who can run, and his projectile (fire) always kills the enemies in one hit, whereas other characters' projectiles take 2 or more hits to kill enemies. True, Mario's projectiles can't break blocks and coin blocks like others can, but usually you don't need to do that.

It's damn cool, but it's missing Ryu Hayabusa and at least one other character who I can't think of off the top of my head. Also, I'm not sure why Link's sprite from the Legend of Zelda II wasn't used rather than his first sprite, even though the second game is listed in the credits. It would have been pretty cool if you could use a particular button to activate your shield as well as your boomerang. Also, I figured out how to tinker with the save file to alter almost everything but the time.
