  • Hello, my 2 year old son broke his elbow and had to go under surgery. it's been the 4th day after his surgery and he fell down again. his doctor recommend him for another surgery because the pin that she had incision moved, so she want to open up his arm and re-do the pin. Is it safe, or what are other opportunity?

  • @pnvang2 see the doctors and listemn to them

  • Hello Doctor, Having been misdiagnosed twice i would really appreciate any advice you have. I do Jiu Jitsu which involves both continuous applied forces for periods of time and also explosive movements being used. Whilst grappling a burning / throbbing sensation will occur in my inner elbows. Also following a contracted period upon release i will feel a very sharp shooting pain in my inner elbows too. The symptoms disappear shortly after the training session. Any advice is much appreciated.

  • @nufcallum burning can be nerve

check the ulnar nerve in addition to the tendons and ligaments

    see a doc

  • I am a physical/sports therapist and have a patient with a cubital fossa pain on supination/flexion. Any suggestions on diagnosis/rehab would be good.

  • Hello Doctor, my pain occurs when i bench press and do pull-ups. I feel this sharp pain in my lower right elbow. I even hear the elbow crack once in awhile. This pain occurs when i lift heavy. Its hard for me not to lift heavy cause i love lifting weights. What should I do Dr. Ebraheim?

  • Hello Doctor, and thanks very much for the informative video.

Im a Golfer and have a problem with my right elbow which is stopping me from playing. It appears to be osteoarthritis or valgus extension overload. I have a lot of cracking / popping when I straighten my arm out, and can feel stiffness in and around the elbow joint itself. I dont have any pain in the muscles; more in the joint and ligaments, with a sharp nerve pain every now and then.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks

  • @jtube711 therapy and injection

  • @nabilebraheim

Thanks Doc - would you reccomend Quarterzone or PRP ?

  • @jtube711 start with cortisone first

  • @nabilebraheim

Thanks again for your thoughts.. Good man.

  • @jtube711 do NOT get a cortisone injection without trying natural alternatives first. cortisone injections can have adverse side effects which sometimes leave you worse off than before. I don't know this from experience, but from reading about many other people's experiences. Research alternative treatments for golfer's elbow or osteoarthritis or whatever you have before getting the "quick fix".

  • Dear Dr. Ebraheim,

Thank you for taking the time to respond, I really appreciate it. Will do.

It has been 9 weeks...I am hoping it will heal. This is worse than any break I have ever had...

    Again, many thanks.

    Cordially,

    John

  • I play baseball and the inner side of my elbow always hurts whenever I throw. Its a sharp pain whenever my arm goes back. Sometimes it hurts to just straighten my arm. Help please

  • @ajr244 see a doc

  • @ajr244 I was a pitcher for 5 years and had this exact problem, it's called 'Thrower's Elbow' (Google it) and it affects a similar region of the arm as Golfer's Elbow (inside of elbow). Your wrist and forearm have been overused and caused a small tear in your tendon near your elbow. I went to a therapist specializing in trigger point massage 2-3 times a week for 5 weeks and was back pitching. Active Release Technique is supposedly good for this too but haven't tried it. Good luck.

  • @ajr244 i have the same problem i am a pitcher and when i pitch my elbow does not hurt but if i try to straighten it i hurts really bad but if i rub my elbow and the ten-dints in there and slowly straighten it. it does not hurt but if 5 mins goes by and i try to straighten it. it hurts bad do u know now what is wrong

  • My friend has elbow pain when she wrings out towels. Would this be from one of these elbow causes or from the wrist, since your wrist video shows pain from doing the twisting with towels?

  • @kaleidoscopekay the elbow pain can be from extreme wrist movement

  • If a patient does manuel labor as a job, and was diagnosed and treated for tennis elbow in one arm, will tennis elbow eventually happen in the other elbow? Great informative video!

  • @kaleidoscopekay thank you

tennis elbow is not bilateral although i see it in patients with bilateral complaints

    it is overuse problem

  • good video

  • @whatsup149 thank you

  • I like how you talk about different injuries, arthritic and "wear and tear" injury. Is there a specific injury more common to see in the elbow with blunt or acute trauma?
