  • ITS COMING ASHORE RIGHT MEOW!

  • I ment water spout :/

  • Tornado/watersprout "oh yea I'm coming to get ur water, now I'm going to come on land wahahaha"

  • *yawn* "Ahh good morn- OH FUCK

  • Waterspouts can sounds?

  • Waterspouts are often very beautiful. Notice how they tend to "hover" there all 'peacefully,' unlike tornadoes that rampage over the land. XD

  • Watersprout, we comin for you, nigga!

  • Comment removed

  • We saw one of these in Sea Isle, NJ... then it moved down our street, ripped off our cars bumper and lifted up our patio table and it NARROWLY missed our car... really weird

  • Was that the morning that there were two tornados that touched down in the water around Surfside and Bal Harbour?

  • @cheerkat16 I believe that was the day! This was minutes before those occurred... :)

  • a beautiful august just in time to enjoy a morning sunrise and what do you see? HELL COMING TO YOUR WINDOW

  • LOL @ the lady and guy arguing about the guy not getting out of bed

  • The narrator is a way too excitable.

  • That was pretty random. Are these normal? If it happened at night no one would've even noticed.

  • floridaa!(: Good thing ive never seen one here...i would probly die...just this video scares me...ahaa

  • Someone call security!

  • Tommy Vercetti better be careful!

  • haarp

  • i bet that was cool as shit to watch

  • Hard rain is gonna fall...

  • do these do as much damage as a normal tornado?

  • grandma doesn't get that the funnel doesn't have to touch the ground for it to be a tornado the air colomn just has to but ps i wish my family argued like that and not loudly

  • Waterspouts are cool to watch. I personally saw one and nothing bad happened. As for the fish, thats another story,

  • "I think it's trying to come ashore." Hahaha made me imagine it was like a person with a will of its own =)

  • @TheKitkat132 The other on is water following the flow of the actual waterspout.

  • does it rain afterwards?

  • mile awaaaaaaay.

  • a perfect view for a waterspout.

  • ahhh nothing like waking up and realizing theirs a tornado outside

  • Its always nice seeing Miami, but not in this way.

  • This looks like and EF1.

  • Thank you for posting this vid. My husband is in the Navy, and said he saw a couple of these waterspouts, and 'smoke', over the ocean in the Bermuda Triangle. Everyone on his ship saw the 'seasmoke' and tornadoes... lol. I wish I could have too!

  • Can they form in Tampa?

  • @NubieGTAS I thought they were fairly common (relatively speaking) in Tampa Bay... :)

  • @NubieGTAS They spawn alot here in Tampa. Mostly in the northern parts where the storms usally blow in. Ive never seen one, just here about them alot from people who went to the beach at the wrong time

  • @NubieGTAS idk...but id die D:

  • they die when they hit land

  • "You can't wake her up!"

    "Well she's gone to disneyworld"

    "Well thank gawd"

cracks me up for some reason

  • what is the an EF2?

  • I think it's hard to decide whether or not it's anticyclonic. You look at the bottom left side then the bottom right side, it looks like it spins both ways.

  • I wanna go Miami

  • it took me 2:26 seconds to realize its anti cyclonic

  • Oh, so this balances out the fire tornados in Brazil, eh? Sort of a yin-yang relationship but without the hell-on-earth format.

  • wow thats like EPIC.

i've NEVER seen what a waterspout looks like til now :]

  • This is some great footage, well done!

  • Great vid.. So amazing how much of a peaceful morning it seemed with the sunrise in the background and the birds singing.

  • What different from a water spout and a tornado.

  • I bet Holiday gatherings with this family are fun-filled (NOT!).

  • It looks like an F-1.

  • @davidworx That thing is weaker, F0 more than likely. Been in FLA all my life, been as close as 50 yards to these things. The water really soaks up the power comparatively to their on-shore brothers.

  • That is so! rare of a tornado of being in Miami i should i noe i live there

  • Stupid asshole they agave spouts everyday you dumb fucker

  • I'm hoping it was just a bad morning for the female. Maybe a night of tequila followed by a double scotch for breakfast. Still, you can't convince her that she doesn't know a little about everything...and I'm sure she's often displaying how little she knows about everything. Just an annoying soundtrack.

  • if i were you i would have bitch-slapped the female. she is a pain in the ass.

  • what street is tornado near?

  • drive her to it and show her that your right

  • "shhh the tornado is gonna hear you its gonna kill us!" lmao that lady is annoying throw her off the window

  • haha frank that is a big one thats wat she said

  • I live in miami ive been there for my hole lie never aware of those ornados happening

  • The old lady sounds Jewish.

  • "No it's not, the funnel's gone."

Well no fucking shit, lady. A funnel cloud is NOT ALWAYS REQUIRED to have a tornado, and of course you're going to have a very visible funnel cloud when it's OVER THE OCEAN and therefore has access to all the water it needs to create a very vivid, solid-colored funnel cloud.

  • You shoulve knocked that bitch who shushed you off the the balcony. She is so annoying with that. Treating you like a little boy

  • I find it funny of how calm everyone is.

  • A waterspout is a tornado. Yes they can go back and forth on land.

  • No, a waterspout is not a tornado.

  • @Stringprodigy

True, they generally are not considered tornadoes unless they hit land but technically they are tornadic. Particularly those spawned by supercells.

  • SHHHH!!!!

  • It's unfortunate that Vivian missed this.

  • Can water spouts form into tornadoes? In other words. Can water spouts form go on land?

  • Yup! They don't usually, but they can (... and did in this case)... The opposite is also true (The 1997 Downtown Miami tornado is an example as it originated on land and crossed Biscayne Bay)... :)

  • yeppp

  • any possible way it can go on land

  • I love the way the family just keeps on talking...kind of calmly...even when they disagree. They're funny!

  • amazing footage

  • waterspouts are a huge threat are you kidding!?!?!?! they're worse than huricanes because their winds are more concentrated on one area. and whoever said in the beginning im shooting live.... what else could you be shooting? in the past? in the future?

  • waterspouts are worse then hurricans? go tell that to the surviors of hurican andrew and katrina. i personally have never been thro a waterspout but i've heard that they usually don't do to much damage.

  • I disagree with you. Hurricanes are far more greater threat to human kind then a waterspout. With Hurricanes... you have Heavy rains and flash flooding (If you have poor drainage, you're going to find a way to get on top of your roof at any cost) you also have High waves and storm surge. Storm surges... depending on the hurricane can reach up to 20 feet! those who live in low elevations area must evaluate other wise you're going to be swimming for your life.

  • cont... You also have High winds. with a CAT 5 hurricane have wind speeds greater then 155 mph. Do some research of Super Typhoon Tip and you'll have a change of mind. Also the rain bands of a hurricane can produce Tornadoes.

  • That's one of the most beautiful and amazing things I've ever seen!! Thanks for the post!

  • that looks soooo cool

  • it did become a tornado but as it "beached" itself, it jumped(which happens often with tornadoes), so it could very much have landed on the other side destroying somthin

  • it's categorized as a weak tonado, in the weak, storng, violent categories. It is still bad just smaller... Violent would be somethin like the last tornado in twister

  • were going on vacation to florida soon, I really want to see one!

  • lol that old women is funny

  • Why does it vanish when it comes on land?

  • because the warm water is what keeps them going.

  • No, warm water keeps storms going. It seemed to disapear when it hits land by an action called "jumping". The water spout...fed entirely by water, hits land and drastically weakens for a brief time, but once it gets its bearings and gets itself back together it turns into a full fledged tornado. Hope I helped a little bit =]

  • i live like litterly like right by you and i have the same accent too

  • i was in the car on miami beach filming

  • god i hate the southern accent sometimes ;)) but i bet you're pretty decent people...

  • southern accents bother me a lot on girls, but when it's big drunk guys in flannel it's pretty entertaining haha

  • Ok I'm from tenessee and My sothern accent is f***ing awesome I have never had any complaints.

  • It really just depends how heavy the accent is. I have relatives from Kentucky and their accents are light and not annoying at all. I also have a friend from Texas and she has NO accent at all. It's really just the really heavy hick accents that bother me on girls haha

Sorry if I offended you =]

  • what an ass...WHERES THE FUNNEL?????? NO ITS GONE!!! the guy is right! oh and stop SHHHHHing him

  • hijsajsasjajsiajsiajs

Ele passo na cidade e deve ter acabado com tudo caralho meu !!!!!

    Isso podia ter no Brasil1!!

  • i remember running up to the top of the buliding in the designe distric to see it.

  • i live at singapore there is no disaster but singapore was lucky:]

  • Remarkable video, too bad you left the time & date stamp on the whole time. The whole ongoing converstation during the taping was a distraction.

  • O_O wow... Lucky you.

  • Yup, both WTVJ and WSVN broke into their morning newscasts, but their coverage started right after this point when it crossed Miami Beach and went into Biscayne Bay... At the tail end, you hear my brother say 'Too late'... it was at that moment that Channel 7 broke in... :)

  • Did this get on the news?

  • florida is the sunshine state so this dosent occur often..

  • lol tornado at six flags

  • most of the tornado's in Florida are water spouts

  • omg this is amazing because i remember looking out at this thing 5 years ago from my apartment, but i was farther, much farther. so this is what it was like!! my whole family was out on the balcony watching this. thanks for sharing!

  • How far were you away? I was looking down 74th street.... it was probably an awesome sight up and down Miami Beach that morning...

  • this video is really kool an awesome thank you for shareing it. plus i dont live down there anymore i live in titusville and this video make my heart stop for all the people that are in it. like i said thank you for shareing with me.

  • the lady is so wise!

  • i liked how he captured her likeing the fact that vivian or whoever was gone rofl, i can only imagine vivian watching this... funny convo cool waterspout.

  • "It did not come ashore! It did not come ashore!"

well you keep your a** outside while I go take shelter!

  • haha..does anyone think the woman's voice from 4:10-4:20 sounds like Marge Simpson...haha

  • I love the conversation. so funny!

  • wow for a minute i thought it was ova da building lolsz

  • sshhhhuuutttt !

  • it looks so eerie with the sunrising and the waterspout together

  • i want to be a storm chaser

so can someone answer this can a waterspuot turn into a tornado

i need all the info i can get

    please respond

  • if u fully load the vid and drag it u can see its movement

  • very beautiful. very impressive. don't fuck with the watersprouts!

  • they r beautiful and you r right about not messing with them

i would love t see one up close

  • WOW ... nice video. Oh, and waterspouts don't always die when they come on shore, especially when there is a strong thunderstorm providing midlevel support like you see here; one of the deadliest tornadoes ever (Natchez, 1840) crossed the Mississippi river twice.

  • beautiful! thanks for the video :)

  • they always die if they change from water to ground and vice versa

  • wow thats amazing!! great video!

  • Amazing footage, thanks for sharing!

  • we get a few waterspouts and tornadoes every wet season across the Top End usually in embedded thunderstorms associated with tropical lows/cyclones and the monsoon trough, quite remarkable considering mesocyclones and supercells are almost non existant here. :)

  • From 2003, but wasn't HURRICANE/TROPICAL STORM made.

  • "IT'S COMING ASHORE!!" If I were there, I wouldn't be standing there when it was coming ashore.

  • I knew it was passing to our North, but I was totally shocked that it did come ashore than anything else (All others I had ever seen out there stayed over water)...

  • lol! aanother year the marlins won the world series i just saw a video wear a torndao hit miami in 1997 sweet go marlins! nice vid

  • Hmmmm... you're onto something... hopefully Miami's hit with a tornado next year... we deserve a sports break with what the Dolphins are dishing out this year...

  • dude, weren't you terrfied?!

  • I was shocked that it came ashore... You could audibly hear the tornado come ashore! Freaky!

  • i know this is cool and i say it is to but a website said if u see a tornado and its not moveing left or right its going to hit u or going back

  • so common.....

  • so beautiful yet eerie

  • I remember when that happened.

  • Most beautiful shot ever. Thanks for sharing :D

  • "maybe we should call the security" Hahaha I love it!

  • Definately the line of the year... my dad has never lived it down...

  • just kepp fighting with ur mom

  • koool

  • awesome

  • that is actually very beautiful. thanks for posting

  • Those little shits allways poop up in Miami.. I seen trillions of them, they get annoying. lol good video

  • That is a surprising fact Mr. Rey (haha) but I think that tornado alley (this is directed towards Zeldahearts) holds more tornados than any other place in the WORLD, and since tornado alley is such a large place there arent that many tornados per square mile. There may be only 5-6 tornados in a state per year!

  • Morning tornado??

  • Yup, early morning!

  • Thats lovely with the sun in the background

  • Thanks for posting!! Great video!! I wish I knew about this video last year when I was compiling eastern tornado videos.

  • WOW U GOTT TO see a magnificent scene um can u see the building where u were supposed to g0 2 work at close from it or faR? im definitely subscribing lol

  • I work downtown which would have been almost directly behind me... and yes, if I zoom, I can see my office building :)

  • It's rare to see a tornado in Florida they ususally happen in the midwestern United States

  • Here's a funny stat that seems unbelieveable but is true: Florida has more tornadoes per square mile than any other state! Of course, most are much, much weaker than those in the Midwest.

  • Not True! The Great Plains Have The Most Torndoes In The USA. Miami-Dade County Has The Most Tornadoes In The State Of Florida.

  • did you hear about LaPlata, MD?

  • Que tornado lindo, adorei !!!

  • this shit mess up my home town and this wat i say fuck them torando and hurricane

  • LOL!Cat fight!

  • Oh, balls. Did you remove that other bonehead's comment? I was gonna give him a piece of my mind in a similarly witty fashion as my first comment.

  • LOL, great vid. Did I hear correctly, that someone wanted to call security? What's a toy cop gonna do, wave a pencil in a threatening manner at the waterspout and yell, "okay, bud...we don't want any trouble..."

  • Yeah, this video is full of comedy. "It's a tornado . . QUICKLY, CALL SECURITY!"

  • Cool I Have Ben Trying To Find This Tornado On Video. I Lookd Foor It On Nbc 4 Palm Beach But It Was Dated. So Thank You For This Video.
