I congratulate Sheriff DeMeo 4 being a credit + an inspiration 2 law enforcement all over the world. This is the type of police that ppl want!!! There r 2 many corrupt + criminal police arounfd the world. It's great that this man sets high, ethical + lawful standards 4 other police 2 follow. I can summarize Sheriff Tony DeMeo in a single word. "H-E-R-O". The man is selfless & courageous, honorable & commendable. He is a man of action & not just words. Truly an epic individual & a REAL American patriot. Unfortunately he is only 1 man, when what we need are thousands like him. He's almost a throwback to certain lawmen from the old west. Sadly he's part of a dying breed. Few people in law enforcement posses his type of integrity, bravery & commitment to justice. He is a HERO!

@269dremer Maybe that's why they call it the Criminal Justice System- justice for criminals. But dremer, what I was really getting at is that our jails are chock full of people convicted of victimless crimes. Who put 'em there? For what purpose? Who did they harm? Themselves? So what?

@269dremer Voting somebody in2 public office DOESN'T mean a person agrees with all the laws they might make. Remember, some laws don't become laws until AFTER the person has been elected. Sheriff DeMeo gets praise because he works within the law + the constitution. Those who abuse the same don't get praise!
