the infection can also be transfered when giving birth, the baby can get the Chlamydia infection in the eye, and some unusual factors u can get Chlamydia in ur throat, but then agan, it's like 1% chance for that..

Answer is Yes, I have studied STI's as part of my degree this year and Chlamydia is a SEX only spread infection due to the unstable nature of Chlamydia trachomatis (the bacteria that causes it), it can't be spread without sex as it needs to remain in a warm, moist environment. Therefore, any oral or penetrating sex is the ONLY way to spread it.
