what is she actually doing? licking her belly? :D my grandma's male cat once licked and "massaged" my hand. after that my hand was full of scratches that swelled a little bit, because i'm allergic.. but it's ok, i was just very pleased that he liked me as much as i adored him :D cats♥
Did they ever grow out of this? My neighbor found 5 kittens in a tied up pillow case in the alley dumpster, and I took one of them; its now 7 weeks old and continues to nurse itself anytime I pet it, unless I bottle feed it or distract it with a toy..
I have to lock it out of my room at night because it will nurse itself throughout the night until I get out of bed in the morning.... I can't even pet the damn thing... and don't think I'll be able to keep it..
That's awesome - I have a video up of one of our cats who does the same thing (she close to 3 years old now and still does it) - "The Insane Self-Nursing Kitten."
Well, I figure if the kitty is happy and safe, then there is no problem. It is certainly calming her down. She might grow out of it. She is very cute, and it shouldn't bother anyone.
