You have no idea how hard it is to do this. I dance this in my school's production, and my teacher demanded that we keep with the original choreography. IT IS SO FREAKING FAST, and SO FREAKING TIRING.

But this is hands down the most fun number.

This musical is so trippy and random with it's musical pieces. But it makes absolute sense, the narrator is telling the story of Joseph to kids, so she's spicing up the scenery to keep them interested.

It says so in every single cast list I've seen

If they were Jacobs wives, they would have to be older because each brother looks to be about 20 or 30

So yes they are the brothers wives

@Stellarka14 No, they are in fact the wives of the brothers! I should know- I played one of them. :P Also, Jacob had two wives, and two concubines (Leah, Rachel, Bilhah and Zilpah, respectively), not eleven. Just saying!

(I wasn't one of the wives *here*, of course, but I did a production of this show with my local community theatre. They're definitely the brothers' wives!)

The ladies are the bothers wives and since the borthers didnt like him neither did thier wives. Plus it made for a cast ensemble. I have a special place in my heart for this show. I was in the childrens chior when it came to San Francisco! And I still remember the lyrics and choreography which is mostly the same to all in the film productions.

The girls are wives of the sons. WHY? Because in the Bible it states that Jacob only had two wives. He also slept with his wive's servants. So therefore, there were four women that gave birth to 12 sons. If they were Jacob's wives, there'd be four of them, not twelve.

@fairiegirl2992 I don't think so I've read the bible so many times Jacob married Rachael then married her sister Leah so Leah had a few maidens so did Rachael so the maidens had some of the sons for Leah and Rachael, so Rachael died when she delivered Ben so all of them women were Jacobs wives maidens.
