You are correct that the Bible has been translated many times...however, interestingly, many versions actually water down the literal translation from the Greek and Hebrew. The King James Version seems to be the most accurate translation from the original. If you research other translations and compare to KJV, you will see what I mean.

God is a loving and forgiving lord, we don't live in a world where people are punished.
We should, but without Jesus Christ we'd have no atonement for the sins we have committed. We would have to pay for our own sins, but no amount of good works will ever erase what we've done wrong. We could work a million years and it wouldn't be enough.

@AnaLetixoxo A better translation would have said "not of works," which is used to emphasize that the salvation is "of grace," grace from God. You have yet to comment on the verses in James.

Dear DopeMcDoperson, there was a purpose behind each verse which requires actual study and the guidance of God and not just a quick scan on the internet. And yes, God is a jealous God and idolaters will have their part in the lake of fire. Why? Because this is God's universe and He made it. Not anybody else and anybody who tells people that God isn't the one true God is a liar and one sin leads to another.

So..he saying even though we are saved....if we sin we are STILL going to hell? What is the point in being saved then? Now I'm thinking I've just wasted my time. We're damed if we do and we're damed if we don't. There is only one perfect person that is Jesus we can NEVER be like him. Ever. God doesn't look at anyone as a criminal for making mistakes. We are human beings. Sins are inevitable.. everyone commits then, and you don't have to be forgiven for doing nothing. Its my opinion and I'm sure I'll get thumbs down, but religion is strictly opinion, what's a sin? In everyone's eyes a sin is of different standards. Surrender? To what. God is a loving and forgiving lord, we don't live in a world where people are punished.

We should, but without Jesus Christ we'd have no atonement for the sins we have committed. We would have to pay for our own sins, but no amount of good works will ever erase what we've done wrong. We could work a million years and it wouldn't be enough.

It's about the heart. If what you mean by live our lives is for example, to look at pornography. You don't love your neighbor doing that. Porn is not victimless nor are the folks paid to be in it taken care of. Or fornication. If you love a person you won't leave them stringless before you take advantage. You won't risk giving them std's or a broken heart. You won't steal from your neighbor if you love them. But ur right, we have free will.

Porn is a sin period. The people in it are not loved, they aren't cared for, their dignity is not respected, people pay them to degrade themselves, etc.. If you loved them u wouldn't contribute. Not to mention what it does to your own heart and to the people in your life.

@666cccccc: Actually, Prayer incredibly powerful. God sees it as 'faithful' and therefore is more likely to work in the hearts of men. According to this video, Ray is doing quite a lot.. as well as many other born-again Christians. Despite the lack of seen results, it's still a very joyful thing to do the Lord's work... and know He has everything under control.

It can be such a difficult thing to give up your sins. It's as the Bible says, that in the last days men will be lovers of self rather than lovers of God.
I surely hope Moses gave His life to God.
But I think I could see in his eyes that he was very "cut to the heart", but there is a battle going on for his soul... We should all pray that God delivers him and Moses trusts in Jesus.
