  • This is a crock, she would have discussed the babysitting with her parents first.

  • Patty Duke had not been diagnosed, received the proper therapy, or medication until 1982. How much of this was acting?

  • He's sooo tiny!!! Sean is just too cute for words, even now!!!

  • i like how the intro music is all chipper and up-beat when the topic deals with child abuse.

  • Wow, I remember this.

  • Jo from "The Facts of Life"! Holy crap, this is awesome.

  • Lance Guest!

  • Thank you for posting this. It's amazing to think that little Sean actually went through something not unlike this as a child.

  • what do you mean?

  • Patty had undiagnosed bipolar disease, and in her manic phases abused her sons. I can't paste a url here, but if you so a google search for "patty duke sean astin 20/20" you will find the article on ABC's web site.

  • thank you for the info!

  • @iheartsmith Thanks for the info!

I can't believe how young Patty Duke was here (35). She has a teenage son, so in the film she must have been...what....17 when she had Lance Guest's character?? Patty Duke, while always beautiful, was a "hard" 35 yrs old here! She actually looked better with age.

I am a big Patty Duke fan and never seen this film... and am thankful to the person who posted this film here.
