synthetic oil does not sludge when changed properly i dont care what anyone says but synthetic protects better in certain ways stays clean longer you can go longer on it i use valvoline synthetic and my motor is as clean as a whistle i tore a motor down once after using valvoline synthetic for years changing it every 5,000 miles and it was as clean as the day it left the factory conventional may sludge dont know never used it i always always use synthetic my car calls for it in the book so i use

These cars work best with 0w-40, check out the forum for these cars. It's been tested tried and true, best oil for these babies is 0w-40

that k and n filter thats the way to go bro thats all i use is wix and k and n sumtimes bosch always a name brand good price one my ford had sludge because of the pennzoil and quakerstate they used i use castrol in it now and believe it or not straitened right up your like me to put sum oil in that filter dont start it dry idk what people say its bad for the rods and mains thats why it rattles when you dont fill the filter rods and mains pecking briefly i always fill my filters gr8 video a++++

yep thats pennzoil for you i dont use that oil or quakerstate i use castrol or valvoline and usually what comes out looks like what went in besides just dirty i use lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer to not talking crap here just saying i despize pennzoil it sludges as u can see in the video how thick it was getting turning to sludge stay away from pennzoil it sludges im not talking from hear say im talking from experience ive used pennzoil and quakerstate they both sludge i use syn pro 100% synth

The sludge/ deposits are generally caused by paraffin, and emergency lubricants building up. The main issue is the detergents breaking down. This is caused by contamination. Valvoline being fairly high in paraffin content is a poor choice for long term use but is great if you Like to change oil a lot. The best choice of oil is one that is made with a good base to start with. Most synthetics are not synthetic, they only meet that grade, since synthetic is deemed a marketing word by courts.

@YoureRacist im a car enthusiast the only oil my Supra gets is German Castrol, Motul, Pennzoil Plat. Euro, or Redline. Mobil 1 is a good oil i just dont think its worth the price. Though some swear by it, but there are better oils out there. Just my .02

Really all a magnet on the oil filter is going to do is catch the mettle in the event of major internal failure. Any mettle fragments normally produced by a normally running engine are going to pass with out any problems (brand new engines produce a lot more of these shavings so keep up on the oil changes).

royal purple synthetic is the best motor oil on tha planet.. its 8 bucks a quart where i live.. i noticed hp increase and quieter engine. but i wouldnt put it in that car too old. only can use from the start or on rebuilt engines.

i hope you pre-filled your oil filter with some oil before u installed it . it helps the engine not struggle as much to get the new oil circulating. but that's good that your taking care of your engine and giving it what it needs

12,000 miles tranny fluid change (automatic)

evey 2 years tune up

once a year coolant system flush

evry 6 months under charrage and wheel well washed high pressure

yep i change the oil every 3,000 miles or every 3 months (which ever comes first).

changed the tranny oil last month.

i pressure wash the whole car underneath every car wash specially during the winter.

tune up is a bit overdue.

yeah i was curious of that also before i changed it.

you should find 2 nuts with a square hole that fits a medium ratchets head.

the drain plug is always at the bottom of the tranny. the front wheel drive fill plug is on the side that you can fill right from the engine bay with a flexible funnel. when it overflows a bit that means its full.

on a rear wheel drive the fill plug is usually way under the car, so you would need a pump to pump the oil up to the tranny fill plug.

just a tip, if you poor the oil with the spout on top and not bottom it goes much smoother because it can get air in the bottle
