synthetic oil does not sludge when changed properly i dont care what anyone says but synthetic protects better in certain ways stays clean longer you can go longer on it i use valvoline synthetic and my motor is as clean as a whistle i tore a motor down once after using valvoline synthetic for years changing it every 5,000 miles and it was as clean as the day it left the factory conventional may sludge dont know never used it i always always use synthetic my car calls for it in the book so i use
whoa whoa whoa now i wasnt saying pennzoil wasnt any good now it wasnt back then they may have changed formulas by now i just wouldnt use it is all i said i wasnt in anyway saying dont use it i was just making a point i wouldnt use it slick 50 got sued and pennzoil owns them found out by secret leak it may be ok to use now i just artent going to use it was all i was saying not trying to start a fight my grandpa used it when i was a kid changed it every 2,000 back in the 90's it caked the engine
Man nice oil filter! K&N is the shit! Eh Pennzoil is not the best but certainly is not the worst! Man with good oil and kick ass oil filters, your engine ought to run forever!
that k and n filter thats the way to go bro thats all i use is wix and k and n sumtimes bosch always a name brand good price one my ford had sludge because of the pennzoil and quakerstate they used i use castrol in it now and believe it or not straitened right up your like me to put sum oil in that filter dont start it dry idk what people say its bad for the rods and mains thats why it rattles when you dont fill the filter rods and mains pecking briefly i always fill my filters gr8 video a++++
if it had castrol in it to bein with why go to penzoil that stuff sludges like i said ive used it i would stick with castrol pennzoil isnt any good im not talking crap or anything so dont take it that way plz i just dont want you ruining your engine you should of seen the oil out of my ford i bought sludge they used pennzoil in it i still havent got all the sludge out yet working on it though flushed it once wasnt real bad just lump in it little ones you could feel thats quakerstateand pennzoil
yep thats pennzoil for you i dont use that oil or quakerstate i use castrol or valvoline and usually what comes out looks like what went in besides just dirty i use lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer to not talking crap here just saying i despize pennzoil it sludges as u can see in the video how thick it was getting turning to sludge stay away from pennzoil it sludges im not talking from hear say im talking from experience ive used pennzoil and quakerstate they both sludge i use syn pro 100% synth
The sludge/ deposits are generally caused by paraffin, and emergency lubricants building up. The main issue is the detergents breaking down. This is caused by contamination. Valvoline being fairly high in paraffin content is a poor choice for long term use but is great if you Like to change oil a lot. The best choice of oil is one that is made with a good base to start with. Most synthetics are not synthetic, they only meet that grade, since synthetic is deemed a marketing word by courts.
@robbie1674563 Pennzoil cleans everything out and keeps it in suspension so that it comes out of your motor when you change it. But have fun being wrong.
@1997FordProbeGT and Ferrari uses Shell Helix oil from the factory, Pennzoil Ultra is only their US recommended oil. so where's the bullshit, besides coming from your mouth?
@1997FordProbeGT With a factory fill relationship that began in 1993, Mobil 1 today is in all new Corvette sports cars: Mercedes AMG - Expertise in motorsports powers these luxury sports cars into a breed synonymous with power and performance. @YoureRacist im a car enthusiast the only oil my Supra gets is German Castrol, Motul, Pennzoil Plat. Euro, or Redline. Mobil 1 is a good oil i just dont think its worth the price. Though some swear by it, but there are better oils out there. Just my .02
I seen a few of those videos... looks like i could just stick on any strong magnet i find lol... and i have 2 very strong magnets from an old hard drive. I seen a few videos with no proof all talk and no show. so.. they are not convincing me until they show proof that it works.
its like the "magic fuel line magnet" which is a scam.
Really all a magnet on the oil filter is going to do is catch the mettle in the event of major internal failure. Any mettle fragments normally produced by a normally running engine are going to pass with out any problems (brand new engines produce a lot more of these shavings so keep up on the oil changes).
royal purple synthetic is the best motor oil on tha planet.. its 8 bucks a quart where i live.. i noticed hp increase and quieter engine. but i wouldnt put it in that car too old. only can use from the start or on rebuilt engines.
i hope you pre-filled your oil filter with some oil before u installed it . it helps the engine not struggle as much to get the new oil circulating. but that's good that your taking care of your engine and giving it what it needs
yeah i was curious of that also before i changed it.
you should find 2 nuts with a square hole that fits a medium ratchets head.
the drain plug is always at the bottom of the tranny. the front wheel drive fill plug is on the side that you can fill right from the engine bay with a flexible funnel. when it overflows a bit that means its full.
on a rear wheel drive the fill plug is usually way under the car, so you would need a pump to pump the oil up to the tranny fill plug.
This video is misleading-all oil will be thick in that temperature when cold- and there is nothing wrong with Penzoil as one dude said
Olddog231 1 month ago
If you use a bigger oil filter, like a M1-301 from Mobil 1 you can use a full 4 qts. See link for more info: geometroforum com/topic/1219569/1/

not only that it can stand up to the heat way more heat before breaking down and sludging

These cars work best with 0w-40, check out the forum for these cars. It's been tested tried and true, best oil for these babies is 0w-40
monono954 1 year ago
why change to 5w30 thicker oil is better for high milage cars
Wtorres996 1 year ago
@Wtorres996 because 5w30 offers better start up protection. in the end both 5w30 and 10w30 will warm up to the same viscosity.
xaviervahidy 1 year ago
@Wtorres996 It's viscosity is only 10 when it is cold, after it warms up it goes to 30 weight anyways.

it only holds 3 quarts how many gallons of gas does it hold
infinity3jif 2 years ago
10.5 Gallons of gasoline.
jmoyet 2 years ago
what kind of mpg does it get i'm thinking 30+ thats the type of car i need when gas goes up to fucking 4 and 5 dollars
infinity3jif 2 years ago
in a light foot it could get 40MPG +
On a heavy foot (aggressive driver) it would be somewhere in the 30's MPG
jmoyet 2 years ago
When gas was almost $5 a gallon last summer the Metro was a life saver. Awesome cars. 2 thumbs up I highly recommend them =)

btw the mobil 1 and K&N filter are the exact same design. The k&n just has that nut on the top.

i pressure wash the whole car underneath every car wash specially during the winter.
tune up is a bit overdue.

just a tip, if you poor the oil with the spout on top and not bottom it goes much smoother because it can get air in the bottle
