  • Just found these clips, bring back memories. In a way it is a shame, nothing wrong with them as a building. I grew up late 70's until 1987 in Carberry & Salton Cres, but knew alot of folk in the multis, got drunk in them, fell in love up there, fell OUT of love too, some good times up there. Maybe like jacobiter says, too close to the shops, junkies, sniffers etc. Been away 22yrs, live in leicester now. Ye can take the boy oot o' Whitfield, but ye cannae take Whitfield oot o' the boy

  • Those flats were braw inside the only problem was stumbling out o them and right into lothian cres and the back o the whitfield shops, what a shitehole that was back in the 80's

  • never seen the whitfield multi come down. i was brought up there in early teens.

  • We were the one of the first families to move into Whitfield Court back in 1970. Just found this now and can remember happy times back then. Been living in South Africa for many years now. Sad to see it gone.
