Their newer material(decemberunderground) was better in almost every aspect. The vocals took much more skill, and a wider range, the guitar was just fucking genius. And of course AFI would be SHIT without bass, and that was tried and true on decemberunderground.

It just wasn't as raw, and straightforward as their old shit. But Kill Caustic and Affliction made up for that.
