Well all where and still are in the elite class for sure, but because of there different styles, to say one is the best ever is not possible. BUT, and this is only my opinion. This young boy might just be,"THE BEST EVER".He plays all genres and styles, then he puts his own flare to it. Truly incredible. @shavedave69 While I agree with your first statement, the idea that this guy is, in his current state, the best guitarist ever, offends me. While he's insanely good for his age, multiple times he's on the verge of losing control and he lacks the dynamic control the upper eschelon of veteran guitarists exhibit. He will iron those issues out with time and 10 or 20 years from now, I would not be surprised to call him the best. But calling him so now is absolutely ludicrous.
