  • Everyone has this hate-on for GalSpan... think of it from a pilot's point of view. One may have better weapons (Bora), but GalSpan has the better SHIPS by far. The Archangel dominates all and the Pegasus is still the fastest.

  • at (6:22) Jake say's : Man, I am beginning to hate this place already

    :)

  • This is why I joined the Bora. GalSpan framed Logan intentionally. They switched the cargo with explosives. Biolith went to help and thought Logan joined GalSpan to destroy Halley. Also, Argoso 914 is a Cinder Merc. To prove it, take the job where you have to evaluate the AGT pilot trainer. When you go to Luna in the job, look for the Makos. One of them is Argoso 914 - and a Cinder Merc. Join Bora and eliminate Galspan!!

  • @celticbattleaxe But GalSpan has better technology!, now you made my head more cunfused!! i dont know who to join, Bora or GalSpan?

  • @VaygrX Ah ,so it SEEMS. They really do not. Here are the facts, and I'm being as unbiased as I can here: Galspan and Bora BOTH have EQUAL technology to start with. If you are playing multiplayer, the side you choose (Bora OR Galspan - doesn't matter, it's the same with each) gains technology to out-smart the other. In multiplayer, you gain technology by gathering crystals, completing vital missions, etc. The same is true in single player, only you don't gather crystals. I just prefer Bora...

  • @VaygrX ...and if you want to know why, well - this is my theory (may be fact as well). Galspan framed Logan by switching Argoso 914's medical package with explosives. Biolith goes to help out Halley Station (where you escort Argoso), but Jake, in response to orders, kills them (or disables them - I disable them only). Biolith KNEW they were explosives. Remember the scrambled message that Argoso jammed? The Biolith guy said "AGT vessels, withdraw immediately, or we will be forced to disable...

  • @VaygrX ... your vessels. You will receive no mercy, ------------------" (comm static). And yes, Argoso was also a Cinder Merc. This nonsense about Redship Rory being the "mastermind" is BS. The very first mission in Tachyon, when Logan analyzes Lorna Kirland in the flight instructor training, Logan comes across Argoso 914 in Luna sector. Argoso is among the Makos patrolling there. So, Galspan hired Argoso, switched the package, and paid the guy, too. My proof? Galspan admits it in their last...

  • @VaygrX ... mission, if you join Galspan. They admit it. Bora also tells you the story, but they don't exclude the details. In their last mission (well, not last - it's called "Weasel in the Coop", where you pick up a computer core from a Galpsan research station in Draconis Sector), an operative posing as a Galspan employee tells you the truth - he is code-named "Grey Weasel". This is why I always fight for Bora. Their weapons are better, too. Railguns, the top weapon, is like a mega-laser.

  • galspan frame logan for the halley destruction but you capture redship rorry

  • The Arena is some of the best and most fun of the game, I replay it just for that.

  • I still play this game

  • Comment removed

  • I absolutely loved this game. Could never put it down. They really need to revive it with a sequel.

  • @HailTheOri gotta agree with that. I renember playing it as a kid, waaay back in 2000. So many great memeories, it definitely needs either a sequel or a HD remake!

  • I remember playing the demo of this game for freaking ever on my old computer!

  • omgz is bruce campbell playing jake logan?!!?

  • Yep, sure is. I mention that fact in my video titled "Tachyon: The Fringe - Highlights." It's a good one to watch for general Bruce Campbell zaniness =)

  • @Xarlor1 its interesting how this game is like Burn Notice? the guy's been blacklisted and the only way is to become a gun for hire, except this game ends and the show is ongoing?

  • Yes. Yes it is.

  • This mission has that bug. The one where you can enter the Megagate in The Fringe. It's pretty fucking far away though.

There's another Bora mission where you can enter one too.

  • i agree with elmonoloca2. even if an old game ts still one of my favourites

  • the best game ever!

  • DO you ever find out who framed logan? i only have the demo

  • Yes, you do find out later in the game.

  • so who framed logan (my game only has the galspan last mission an ending) did galspan? or someone else? (don´t remember)

  • *warning: major spoilers and to be removed on request*

Yes, it was GalSpan. They swapped an AGT Medical Shuttle with their Argoso 914 stuffed with explosives. They released the contagion on Halley, and when Biolith (the intercepting company, who are really the good guys) got onto them, then GalSpan decided to send their "clean slate solution". Jake was then, the fall guy in all of it.

  • ok thanks

  • Having said all that, Galspan sure has some sweet rides :p Well, sweet looking anyway, much easier on the eyes than the Bora's equipment
