  • Awesomeee !!! Face to Face is really punk !

  • i finally found the song!!!!! i"ve been searching for a long time. i LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!

  • This is in my top 3 favorite records, by ANYONE, of all time. I hate that Face to Face never plays this stuff live. It's easily the best record they've ever made.

  • @JonCodyDavis I just watched their documentary today called "Punk Rock Eats It's Own" on Netflix and in it, they talk about how quite a bit of their fan base gave them a really hard time about this album. People in the crowd would use one hand to give them a thumbs down, and the other hand to flip them off as they'd play these songs. As a result, they really don't like to play the songs from this album. It's a shame because yes, these songs are great.

  • best song of theirs

  • thankful.

  • I´m so thanful that they did this Record.

  • I missed the Ignorance Is Bliss tour, but have seen them a ton of times. I did get to see Trever Keith solo a few years ago and he performed 4-5 songs off of this record. I was so happy to finally hear this material live. Only took me about 8 or 9 years to long.

  • Thumbs up if Buffy brought you here!!!

  • God is a Maaaaaaaaaaaaan!!!!

  • I can't believe this is 12 years old.. sounds so fresh and recent.

  • although their fans were not ready for the change in sound and the band felt the horrible backlash that ensued after they set out to tour and promote the record. that's why they reverted back to the burned out pop punk that they had so wanted to shed themselves of. and it was down hill from there. i use to hate this record when it came out and after a few years and me becoming more open minded about music, it is by far their best effort to date.

  • @RushNLV if you would've read any articles about this album upon it's release you would've been informed that Face to Face were ecstatic about this album and couldn't wait for it's release. they felt that the pop punk they had been doing for years had run it's course and they felt it was time to move on to something more fulfilling.

  • lol I still have my Buffy album with this song on it... AWESOME!

  • Haven't heard this song since the late 90's when I was living in Grand Haven, Michigan. Thanks for uploading this!

  • This whole album sucks,if you like this you are not a punk this is emo as hell

  • @RushNLV And you, my friend, are a goddam idiot with no understanding of music.

  • @sherpa141 ha ha ha, I seen these guys when they released the self-titled record, which was brilliant. I have been a fan of this band for well over a decade they changed their sound for idiots like you who like fag rock and bunboy music and i'm sure you have an extensive collection. I have been punk since the 80's and Play professionally in a band and your understanding of my understanding of music is as short as your fuckstick.

  • @RushNLV Whoa dude, that comment totally made you look badass!

  • Ignorance Is Bliss - is a vastly underrated album. This song is great.

  • @PunksInVegas I think it's one of the best hard rock albums ever recorded.

  • face to face, you truly are a great band, this song is so awsome, keep doin what your doin. ill never stop listening to this bad ass band

  • They took so much abuse when this album came out from the "tr00 punx", but I think this is a really strong album. It was a different direction, for sure, but isn't that what being "punk" is? Being true to yourself and doing what you want rather than what's expected? I still listen to Ignorance Is Bliss all the time, and love it as much as I did back then.

  • @KennyLars Same here. It's really encouraging to read that some people gave this album a chance while narrow-minded prescriptivists like rushNLV dismissed it for not being punk -- Way to keep a scene from progressing, jackass.

  • @sherpa141 the scene is gonna progress without this trash much better, which is why face to face released reactionary, you fucking ubergeek.

  • i'm lovin it ;)

  • Ignorance is definitely their strongest album, i've been a F2F fan for ages now and still love listening to every song they've ever written.

  • Ignorance is bliss is one of the best face to face albums!!

  • Comment removed

  • he reminds me of one of the RA's at my college

  • This reminds me a little of "Crank" by Catherine Wheel - both excellent songs.

(Thanks to Joss Whedon for putting it in his Buffy series - there was so much good music to discover in those episodes!)

  • awesome song

  • Unfortunately the lead singer reminds me of Dane Cook....who is about as funny as dead babies.

  • dead babies are funny, i mean come on its not right but its funny to make dead baby jokes.

  • where the hell did ignorance is bliss go?

  • This record was definitely their best. How often can a Beach Punk band compete with British shoegaze a la Catherine Wheel and Swervedriver? Only once: this record.

  • Awesome song, awesome album. I know it's been said that Trever Keith stated that he would never play any songs from "Ignorance Is Bliss," but does anyone know why, though? It was a truly great album!

  • @mrmiller5150 Im assuming he was being spiteful. I remember back when IIB came out, it pissed off so many fans, me included (at the time). The lyrics in Reactionary show his personal reaction towards all the backlash. I think he said he wouldnt play the songs anymore out of the spite and also the initial reaction to his masterpiece.

  • it really is a great song just not as fun as some of their older shit live. trust me i saw this song live a couple days ago and even though it was sick their older and faster shit got the crowd way more excited

  • I have had the privledge seeing them play several songs off this album when they went on tour to support it. I haven't heard anything from it since then and I have seen them 9 times. One of the greatest albums ever recorded.

  • face to face's second best album... It's ashaim they won't play anything off of it live. I would like to see them play it in it's entirety!!!

  • not the true f 2 f

  • the lead singer looks like tommy dreamer

  • wtf go back to watching wrestling videos

  • This song is completely badass. One of the greatest bands of all time. Too bad like a few of you said they never play anything from this album this song is awesome.

  • I saw them in philly last night and they played it!

  • This is Trever's favorite face to face album even though they will never ever play anything off of it. Check out his solo album, it is part 2 of this.

  • I will always associate this song to a specific time in my life, and have loved it since, but I do not really know what it all means, in every context.

  • Ignorance is Bliss is an awesome album! I owned it when it was released, and recently found it again.

It was way ahead of it's time.

  • I have been listening to this song for 11 or 12 years!! It was on the Buffy the Vampire Season 1 soundtrack. WOW!!!

  • @MissAmea me too. i first heard it on that. i got that soundtrack when i was 6

  • @MissAmea you must be god if you can lissen it for that long, its released in 1999 your comment is posted over a year ago s you can lissen it 10 or 11 years :) maths.. its still hard

  • @MissAmea

    same

  • KICKASS!

  • Hands down one of the best albums ever created. I remember the first time I heard negative feedback about it and I was like WTF??? Are you serious? Yah they changed direction but they created a masterpiece and never once did it feel like they were "selling out" or compromising any type of values. It's an amazing work of art.

  • Im not a great Face to Face fan, (just a normal fan :) and I have heard songs from many of their albums. Otherwise I listen to all kind of music styles. But I must say that Ignorance is Bliss is maybe the BEST ALBUM I´VE EVER HEARD! Its a bit hard, a bit emotional, a bit dynamic and every song has extremly good melodies. It has a special and very rare sound. Just a fantastic album. I´M FOREVER THANKFUL THIS ALBUM WAS MADE!!!

  • Keith must have sobered up for this album, I get goosebumps everytime I hear LOST i fucking love this album

  • Ignorance is Bliss is the album that keeps me alive, its their best album

  • Damn this song is mad seriously. I mean f2f is good, but i never thought that they were this good u know.

  • Sooooo Goooooooooooooood !!!!

  • this album was awsome i dont give a flying fuck what any of thoes "old schoolers" try and say def. one of their best songs off the album too...

  • this is a great album if u r a face to face fan. if u r just someone that likes it when they rock out with the cock out u might not like the album. this song was used for the buffy the vampire slayer tv show soundtrack and was also played on Y100 which was a radio station in philly(that shit surprises me) BUT TO BE TRUTHFUL EVEN f2f makes fun of this album. at shows they joke around and threaten 2 play songs from it but all in all its a good album

  • never understood the negative reaction to that album. I LOVED it!

  • Second, in fact I'll go further and say it is by far my favorite FTF (and probably my favorite period) record out there. I was into these guys long before Ignorance is Bliss came out, and I remember first hearing it and being blown away. Yeah it's not three chord pop punk, but it's a darker more intricate record, that still doesn't sell them out.

  • im with on that one brother

  • that ignorance is bliss tour sucked ass for them! I'm not bashing the album but the fans, mostly old skool ones, were pissed off at face to face and reacted really badly.

  • I remember hearing this song on an obscure alternative radio station in Cleveland in the 90s. Its great.

  • greatest rock album ever released.

  • Love this song so much! My absolute fav from the Buffy Album

  • This is such a good song, loved the Ignorance is bliss.

  • Ya know, I could never discern a clear meaning from this song. Also, a heads up, Trever Keith is releasing a solo album very soon. Check his website TreverKeith dot com.

  • That record was amazing! Would have loved to have caught them live on the Ignorance is Bliss tour.

  • that particular tour lasted like 3 weeks.....after getting heckled and spit on, they went back to the studio.....sad but true.

  • Great video. Where is it from?

  • It's from the "Shoot The Moon" DVD.
