i remember this. especially that elephant on the queen with a very majestic track and royal power theme to it. and then it gets even more exciting with the king of bandits taking that "you're mine now" sort of threatening glance. of course i thought he was the villain. but no, there is romance between them. i really love that desert theme of the bandits dancing with that chant "ho ho ho ho", i mean the choreography is just great. best credit goes to A.R. Rahman, sir, you are truly awesome.

Both versions are in Dharmavathi ragam in Carnatic and in hindustani it is called Madhuvanthi ragam!

I don't think hindi version is by Dilip A.R. Rahman. Hindi was by Anu Malik. Uploader refer to actual point and correct your entry. There was copy right case against anu malik by ARR for using this song without his approval.

@rdhinakar Thats exactly what I have tried to do.. Giving credit to the original composer AR Rahman and not Anu Malik who literally stole the song..

Writing lyrics in Hindi makes him a lyricist and not a composer.

@prash142 Anu Malik just ripped the BG score and used SPB and Chitra to sing the song. I wonder why SPB and Chitra who are great likers of ARR sang this, might they would have taken permission from ARR to sing on this copied version!

Anu Malik only composed the two songs for the film, What is love and Hum Aapne Gham Ko. The rest were just given "credit" on the cd/tape covers.

However, in the film credits, A.R Rahman is thanked.
