This was put up about 2 or 3 weeks after the recording to be able to promote the cd. So this was a raw clip from the one camera with no editing or anything!!
All musicians can appreciate the level of talent ability on stage. Having said that it's a shame that a huge number of bros you see singing are acting and behaving in a way that would indicate that they are effeminate. What is most disappointing is that if anyone attempts to address it they are demonized, but tell me where in the bible did God tell us to embrace what he himself hates. Not hating the people but the lifestyle and behavior.

I am only in my 20's but i agree that some of this new Gospel is ok but its not Sunday morning ready. The hip hop saints want it like MTV, VH1 so we can "reach the youth" and the "im a just a worshiper" saints want it slow, sad and mystical so they can cup their hands cry and call it relationship. I can't get with some of this 2008 so called gospel music it sounds like trash and its too electronic and their is no anointing, just noise. And exactly how many of these "new" songs can your average church that is not a super church sing? How many of these songs can reproduced with just an organist and drummer? The standard for most churches? How many of these new mil songs can an actual choir sing? It's only so many people that can be on a praise team. So what do you do with everyone else who wants to sing for the lord and have a gift and can't do to no choir music being produced?

LOVE IT! Glad to know that "choir music" is alive and well. Simple rock. Powerful Words of Truth and more importantly slamming music that was made by the minstrel himself Melvin Crispell. Love the fact that you can always tell a "Melvin Crispell" song. So original and unique. Finally, music that the church choir of TODAY (2008) can learn and sing for morning worship.

I am only in my 20's but i agree that some of this new Gospel is ok but its not Sunday morning ready. The hip hop saints want it like MTV, VH1 so we can "reach the youth" and the "im a just a worshiper" saints want it slow, sad and mystical so they can cup their hands cry and call it relationship. But the youth need to cut out all this extra curricular activities at church and just get to Sunday School on time and the worshipers need to realize that worship is not a slow song, its a walk GO MEL

i have a thing for a bass player's presence. I love how Justin makes presence known in the beginning...Love that!!!! The horn(I think that's Mo' Horns) section is so powerful..Eddie on drums is incredible man...Entire band is just full force hittin hard!!!!

this is good simple music. it reflects the fact that Christ is real and that sometimes we don't have to be so deep...sometimes less is more. and 90s gospel carries the same Holy Spirit as new stuff, well it should. GO MEL & TESTIMONY!

Thank you to those of you that stood up for Melvin. Melvin music is timeless. Melvin has his own sound! For those of you that think it sound 90s remember that God never changes. I can't get with some of this 2008 so called gospel music it sounds like trash and its too electronic and their is no anointing, just noise. Melvin Crispell is anointed and his music touch the lives of many people especially mine. Melvin don't change! Keep the legacy going!

And exactly how many of these "new" songs can your average church that is not a super church sing? How many of these songs can reproduced with just an organist and drummer? The standard for most churches? How many of these new mil songs can an actual choir sing? It's only so many people that can be on a praise team. So what do you do with everyone else who wants to sing for the lord and have a gift and can't do to no choir music being produced?

i think it sounds AWESOME... i can hardly.. i truly mis the days of GOOD CHOIR MUSIC... more groups need to go back to this sound.. so us muicians dont have to search high and low just to find something suitable to sing on sunday mornings.. lol... RIGHT ON MELVIN!!!!
