hey yo, would it be possible to replace the chain links with cord like nunchaku without affecting the sansetsukon's speed and/or flexibility, I wouldn't mind replacing the cords, I just want to know if it's a viable option. Thanks beforehand
@kcorr94 It is possible, make sure you get a decent cord (often, para-cord is an ideal choice) and ensure you can fasten it solidly to the sections. because the weapon is designed to swing at high speed and cause impact damage, you'll want to make sure the rope stays there, so drilling holes in the sections and threading the rope through and tying a strong knot is key.
Sifu Koh and Grandmaster Tak Wah Eng have produced several different videos. This stuff should be in the movies. Never saw anyone do a video like this. I'd love to learn this.
Actually there is movie Ong Bak 2. It's not chinese but the successor to a pirate group (has so much, samurai's, kung fu, lot of different people) uses the 3 section staff close to end. He kicks so serious tale.
hey man you said you used to train with them...hows the school and all cuz i definatly want to join the school and all i live rite next to the city is it expensive? cuz their site doesnt say nething about price
well when i trained there it was really good.the teaching was was sound and sifu koh and his instructors are good. as for money the prices probably changed since i was there but it was 75 bucks and then it was 85.but i think the prices vary depending on what training package you get at least thats how it was when i was there. ask the video poster because they might know more then me.
6 people got their asses handed to them by the 3 sectional staff.
