I'm a little skeptical about this "stop-and-shoot" system being in the third generation of Resident Evil. I mean this is 2009, and 99% of the action/horror games on the market allow you to easily aim with the right stick and fire with the right trigger while moving the character around with the left stick. I guess its to keep re 5 feeling like the old RE's but even still the stop-n-shoot mechanic sounds last-gen in this day and age. Ima still buy the game and hopefully I could be wrong about it

the stop and shoot adds to the 'fear factor' since while shooting you're more vulnerable, but something like gears of war blindfiring would be cool; shooting while moving but having no reticule to aim, making it very hard to aim and much more inaccurate.

I played the demo on x360 and the controls were really awkward, moving around was awkward and when trying to aim it was awkward and then when they all come into the room of that house it was hard to move around and quickly try and shoot

you cant play resident evil like you would halo or call of duty. you have to have a good aim and try not 2 waste any ammo. a gd way 2 do that is to headshot them with your pistol and the run up and press x(kick/punch). plus you gotta b careful ammo-wise

not really. their is 2 types of controls in the game. one is the gears of war one and the other which is the regular stop and shot. but i prefer stop and shot since it's classic and matches all the other RE games.
