I'd have to disagree with you in the case of PAC. I suggest you check out some of his performences from PWG over the past year. GIANT-Size Annual #4, All Star Weekend V (both nights), or the DDT4 Tournament (night 2 in particular). Great stuff.

Jack Evans might be more ideal for your argument, but he has been steadily improving since his recent Dragon Gate tour.

I'm curious, but how many of PAC's matches have you seen? He truly is an extremely adept technical wrestler (in addition to being what many are calling the best high-flyer ever). His matches with Kaz Hayashi, CIMA, El Generico, Kevin Steen, etc... are all MOTYC contenders, and his technical prowess is one of the key reasons for that.

I think you may be somewhat hasteful in formulating an opinion on the matter.

Well, I must suggest his PWG work above all else. Even if you don't like his work in particular, the shows I mentioned are some of the better PWG shows of the year & are worth checking out for other reasons. Nice chatting with you.

I didn't mean to suggest that he was inconsistant, but rather that his opponents in PWG have been of a higher caliber. And no wrestler is ever truly consistant every time they wrestle, especially early on their careers when many are shaping & evolving their styles, repertoires, and personas.

Though I'm not sure what consistancy in performence has to do with randomly booked matches.

If you're talking about delivering a quality performence every time, even for the random matches against "just some random guy," then yes, Pac is a very consistant worker.

Of the 12 or so matches that I've seen him perform live, about 4 of them have been match of the year contenders.

And these matches are still awesome on DVD a year later. And I'm not the only person who has suggested that the aforementioned matches are MOTY Contenders. But not all matches seem good live. I wasn't fond of his match with Jack Evans at BOLA 07; spotfest. However the match comes across extremely well on DVD.

Perhaps you haven't seen Pac work any matches with any good or "consistant" opponents. It's always a two way street.
