The strength and determination of the Russian people is well known, in WWII alone they put the greatest dent in Nazi forces; Battles like Stalingrad left over 8 million dead, yet the Russians were still in the best shape by wars end and were the ones to actually take the German capital of Berlin (a fact few Americans seem aware of)

@TheChikius While the Russian government is far from perfect, it's definitely not the old Soviet leadership.I'm familiar with Holodomor, but what you have to remember is that you hate Stalin. The Russians threw the Soviets out to become the people they are today.

Though the Russian government occasionally engages in questionable behavior, they're nowhere near China, Cuba and N.Korea; All of which Nations are still communist and people still suffer, unlike Russia which is prospering.
