Editing Software for the Kodak Zi8 - MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 15

I have tried using a Sony Vegas Platinum HD Ten. The problem is that whenever I play back my footage on the editor. It just updates the video like every nine seconds. Which makes it like impossible to edit anything because the video is laggy and you cant tell where anything is. It doesnt work great at all. The same thing happens with Power Director Nine and the software this came with. But when it is uploaded to the internet it plays just fine. I cant find a single editor that works Windows.

Based upon your recommendation, I've just downloaded MAGIX Move Edith Pro 16.

Unfortunately, I'm a novice with these new items but, though the instructions are better than none at all (such as I get with ArcSoft), I'm having difficulty. The video

that plays terrificly with ArcSoft is not smooth with the Pro 16; and the sound is

distorted horribly. I need something with a manual! Thanks for your input. /sh

Will the new Magix 16 work with the Native 720p 60fps ...and the 1080i 30fps that my Zi8 puts out?

I have the 16 premium version and the Zi8 ... but I can't import de Zi8 .mov files. I have email to Magix today, so I wait for their answer, but maybe you can tell me what the problem might be.

@drdalet I found the problem. I installed my older software, Ulead VideoStudio 11 and it also works with Zi8 files. But Ulead installed the Quicktime player as well. After that the Magix software also worked. So I uninstalled Ulead (because it gives problems with Win7) and kept Quicktime. Today I spent all day editing and Magix works fine now.
