at my church we dont teach that u have to speak in an UNKNOWN tongue to be saved, but i believe that because we had people at the revival i was filled at, God gave me tongues as a SIGN for those unbelivers who were looking for them. by the way ive been saved for 5 years and have only spoken in an unknown tongue twice. the first being ,when i was filled with the Holyghost.
