you know this movie was shot in Thailand right next to the Burmese border and the guys there were made to gain at least 10 pounds because they were gonna sweat so much, and they took over 1000's of bullets and used every last one, this may be a hollywood movie but it was shot in a hot climate and the acting is great and has heart, Sly directed this also and put a lot of true feeling in it. This is entertainment at its best hollywood or not.

i agree w/ you. i wasn't knocking this flick. just saying the situation of most action flicks these days. hollywood shot itself in the foot a long time ago when it became more about quantity and product placement than quality films and became even more superficial than we thought possible. there's still diamonds in the rough like this movie, but the rest are just 2 hr commercials for abercrombie and sports drinks w/ some filler for a plot.

i avoided the saw flicks altogether b/c i'm just not into horror. harry, eh, haven't seen a whole one to really give my opinion yet. but not in a rush to watch them. it's all true though, check the movie releases when the original rambo came out, only maybe 15 flicks came out a year, if that? and for the majority, they were all good. now there's dozens upon dozens per year, it makes our heads spin.

The movie was excellent. The 93 minutes flew by. From start to finish it took you on an intense journey a real look at the horrors of war and the suffering of the Karens at the hands of their enemies. Sly did a fine job of directing and co-writing this movie. I totally got into his character and how he portrayed himself 20 years later. A big thumbs up from me and my boyfriend. Fabulous A+ Go Sly! You've still got what it takes and more!
