when i downloaded the drivers it said something about the ADS failing? everything else was green to go though. i tried to keep going and move on to the root, but at the command prompt it said it either couldn't find the SDK or it failed. i'm guessing i have to re-download the drivers, but i wanted to make sure before i did all these steps over again.

It's really sad to see who little developer support this phone has. It's like the Evo's co-captain that never made it off the ship, I can't even get full cynogenmod 7...It seems like they basically just left it in alpha stages and never did anything with it. Great phone, just very un-popular it seems.

@kbizz640 that true but blame it on sprint who had to rebrand it as Samsung Epic, it always makes it worse when carriers customize it to their liking.

Hello Zedomax and thank you for your upload i'm stuck at the CMD part when I input adb devices its reads it just like it does in your video but next to the numbers it says offline. i rebooted the phone did it again 3 times hoping that was the problem but nothing. any insight on how to fix this? thank you in advance.

Thanks for the walkthrough, it really helped me out. :D As for Fire2fighter343, I had a similar issue. Not sure if it's the same thing, but apparently my Aux. USB drives won't read the device, only works on main usb slots connected to the motherboard. Hopefully that helps. 0/

hmm i did the root test by typing "su" but i got $ access denied but i believe its still rooted as it allows me to run root only apps..

just in case anyone else has a problem like i did, you may have to unplug the device and reboot the device if it stayed at this screen too long 3:16 developers say any more than 2 minutes at that screen and to just reboot. I did and tried it again and worked perfectly

when I'm in my Samsung folder on the command prompt, I run the command "run.bat" . It says press any key. I do and then it says "copy and run the exploit (may take 2 minutes)" Then it just sits there and does nothing. I've let it run 10+ minutes and nothing. What am I doing wrong? *Note* I do run the command "adb devices" and it recognizes my device. HELP!!

Hey thanks for the tutorial, it worked!! The only trouble I had was installing the USB drivers. So I had to manually *install hardware* and points to the correct folder, but after that, smooth sailing :D thanks again!

I get the same thing. My usb will only mount and show up on my computer when the usb debugging is turned off. maybe that is why. I have all the drivers installed too. Help zedomax
