  • christofa

  • jersey hooah

  • HE SAT ON 1 ASS CHEEK THE WHOLE WAY OVER !!!!

  • it's ironic Christopher made the pledge to not betray his friends, but Tony betrays him in the end.

  • @DatNiceDude Tony did him a favour, and Tony is the boss, he could do anything he want's to. Tony had to kill him either way if he survived, so Tony done him a favour and made it less painful and quick.

  • @GSPF you couldn't be more WRONG about the significance of the floor. Chase paid homage to great gangster films all of the time. You probably thought that there was no significance to the elevator scene in the funeral home either.

  • The funniest thing about this scene is Chris "saw too many movies" about guys who get whacked, under the illusion they were being taken to get made. Only movie I can think of that Chris saw was Goodfellas in which Chris (Spider) was shot to death by the guy it actually happened to. LOL

  • The crow was bad luck for Chris and Gene. They were both dead within a couple of years.

I understand why Tony wouldn't let Gene out. He was a made guy and this ceremony made it clear what was expected of him.

  • So sad that Tony was the one who killed Chrissy and Adrianna. Just shows to tell you that the mafia while does give you power and money significantly shortens your lifespan.

  • Well, to be fair, Chris was a drugged up liability and Tony had long forgone molding him into being his successor. Making Bobby the acting underboss helped seal that deal. Also, Adrianna was working with the feds...so....we all knew that was coming. :)

  • "I'm telling ya, IT WAS THAT FUCKIN' BIRD!"

  • meet him at modells hahahaha

  • The crow is clearly foreshadowing something sinister.

  • everyone i know uses that reference now

    shine shoes = being made

  • Bobby fiddling with the light switch. Paulie "alright finish up over there". Bobby walking away from the light switch sad. LMAO

  • The crow represents Christopher's soul. Black and ominous, yet still salvagable. When he gets made, it becomes unretrievable, irredeemable

  • Why the fuck was Juniors carer doing there. At this point he was'nt even made or involved in the crime side of things?

  • @buster560

Bobby was a made guy the whole time. Tony just didn't like/trust him so he gave him menial jobs like looking after his elderly uncle.

  • It's funny going back to this scene after Phil's speech in Season 6B...Phil was a moron and got everything wrong.

The Sopranos didn't just make anybody, they waited to open the books till there was room, there was a sword and gun on the table, they got their fingers pricked and they burned the card of the saint...they did everything right and say what you will about Tony but the guy ran a tight ship without ruining things for the most part. Phil had zero justification for his actions in 6B...

  • @mavenous22 there's no sword or gun on the table in this scene what are you talking about?

  • @mavenous22 And that's why Butch and Little Carmine turned on Phil and told Tony to cap him

  • @mavenous22 is a 'tight ship' one that has a junky as his 2nd in command and protege'?

  • Can someone enlighten us on what the grey bird represents?

  • @xxaimpiratexx Crows are a bad omen my friend. They foreshadow something bad happening in the future.

  • @kaz287 Its fucked up because somehow I've always felt that in real life secretly.

  • @xxaimpiratexx that's mad lol you know that cat in season 6 is said to be adriana reincarnated, this cat randomly started coming to my house and a few people said it was my mother which is pretty weird lol

  • ive seen this scene a thousand times and its personally my favorite in all the series but whats with the bird?

  • @TheMoviefan78 The bird is a crow and it symbolizes a bad omen to come. That was why Chrissy was really squirrely when he couldnt make money immediately and things seemed to go wrong after he got made. In a later episode in anger he blamed his problems on the bird in the window.

  • Love the Goodfellas reference...

  • Where does Paulie get made? Modals or something?

  • the best part is, they were getting prepped to get high (i think). lol

and the guy gets a call: 'you're getting made'. lol

  • Funny how in most Mafia film's getting made is the peak, but in The Soprano's....it's just another day.

  • "you've seen to many movies"

like those movies where the rat is killed in the woods in the middle of nowhere?

  • strange that Ralphie wasn't there since he is Eugene's captain

  • anyone notice the checkered floor just like tommy's whacking scene in goodfella's?

  • @statenis33 alot of floors have that. nothing special

  • He told me to look sharp and to get my fucking shinebox

  • @soccerstarr12 Lmao

  • @soccerstarr12 bwahahhaha i was thinking the same thing and i read your comment and busted out laughing for 5 minutes straight, nearly died because of lack of oxygen.

  • @vcdna1 LOL!!

  • I love the innuendo to Goodfellas here.... Adriana was thinking they were gonna do Chris like they did Tommy in Goodfellas and Chris (Who was Spider in goodfellas) says "You've seen too many movies." CLASSIC

  • what does "shoot your cups" mean?

  • @cekinxxx Shoot your cuffs . . . When the cuff of your sleeves gets tucked inside the arm of your suit you stretch your arms out so that they are showing. Looks classy : )

  • @TheNYCDreams thanks

  • @cekinxxx shoot your "cuffs" - end of sleeves are called cuffs. looks sharp to have them showing evenly beneath the top jacket.

  • wow finally got the goodfellas reference. Chris said you're watching too many movies (Pescis character getting killed after getting a call just like this) and the very next shot is a backtracking shot of Chris in the parking lot (like DeNiros and Liottas scene at the bar when they're discussing Pescis death). Maybe im reading too much into the scene (I guess that happens to film students)

  • ok, what's with the bird? i don't understand the symbolism.

  • @thelonedissenter

    A crow means death!

    Some sicilian thing.

  • @hearts76100 like a raven is supposed to be a bad thing in some european cultures?

  • @hearts76100 I personally was hearing the theme to, "The Omen" when that thing came into view!

  • Paulie tells him to go to Tony if he has a problem, then later when Chris goes to Tony for a problem with Paulie, Paulie bitches at him. LOL

  • as a child this was my goal in life...

  • Christopher: they told me to go home and get my fucking shinebox.

  • I like the way she says Christopher, "Christafahh"

  • How can they just stand there without flinching while a card is burning in their hands?

  • I can't tell if there are a sword and gun on the table. Phil complained about Jersey's ceremony for making guys...not pricking their fingers (dead wrong about that, they do in this scene) and also no sword and gun on the table.

  • Guinea fucking goombahs

  • I got so nervous in this scene I truly thought Chris was going to going to have a "Tommy Devito"

  • @Bobbyhamster Hence, Chrissy putting Ade's worries to rest with, "You've seen too many movies". Gotta love that little nod to Goodfellas.

  • @dander337

I was gonna say the same thing. In a way, this is like Spider's ultimate Fuck You to Tommy. He got made while Tommy never did.

  • Chris keeps staring at the bird on the window, and just as the ritual completes, the bird disappears. I have an eerie feeling this is meant to symbolize something or other, but I don't know what exactly.

Does anybody have a potential interpretation?

  • @Macaii chris considers it a bad omen. and whith the way things ultimately worked out, i guess it was.

  • @Macaii if its a Crow its a Oman that Death is Near

  • scenes like this.. really make the tragic ones to come all the more heartbreaking

  • The funny thing is that Adrianna and Christopher has never moved out of that shitty apartment lmfao.

  • @12iJorge12 It got shittier as the show progressed too.

  • @12iJorge12

Yea I know right? It's because Chris spent all of his money on drugs.

  • can anyone explain to me the significance of the bird?

  • @HybridxProject western traditions raven represents darkness, destructiveness and evil. They are sometimes associated with deities of evil and of death. Both witches and the Devil were said to be able to take the shape of a raven. Basically Christopher believes they are a sign of bad luck.

  • @HybridxProject the bird signals doom and destruction for following the mafia

  • @HybridxProject The bird was to show the randomness of the mindset christopher always has, the fact that he would look at some bird some random bird during a moment such as displayed

  • @HybridxProject Black crows symbolize death. This is great because Chrissy does eventually die for betraying the family. Not in a "Rat" sense, but by abusing drugs to the point where Tony couldn't trust him anymore.

  • Not a bad ceremony. A few things wern't done right. For instance no gun or sword on the table. The room wasn't completely dark. And the Boss is supposed to have his Underboss and his Consigleire next to him. Not his Consigleire and his capo. Plus the whole ceromony is to be done in Sicilian. The only light in the room is supposed to be from the candle. Otherwise, not bad.

  • Seen too many movies? Yeah well. Adrianna's a lot better looking than Tommy's mother.

  • So this is what they would have done with Tommy DeVito had he not killed Billy Batts....interesting.....

  • 1:49 Goodfellas

  • "You've seen to many movies"

A great reference to GoodFellas, when Joe Pesci gets whacked thinking he was getting made

  • @TheCrisisKings Aye - liked that... I do like the way throughout the programs they refer to Goodfellas and The Godfather!

  • @filmcruiser88

nah pussy was fucked up, he felt SO guilty for snitching that he lied to hismelf, he told himslef that tony didnt care about him.even though he was aware that tony did care.

  • Adriana: christu... ( later that day): FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

  • Bobbys tie wasnt even long enough to get past his stomach and reach his belt, what a fat guy!

  • @Momokabomo Did you know they actually made him wear a fat suit to make him look bigger even though he is pretty big in real life.

  • @TheZestyItalian They did, whats his weight? : )

  • oh and what does that crow mean??? I never understood that

  • @NikeSB184 the crow is generally ominous symbolism that recurs throughout art and literature. if you've seen the whole series you know that chris does in fact betray the family and is killed for it, the crow is foreshadowing these events.

  • dude!! this is fucking nuts!!

  • I really never knew how Chris lathered his face so quick in this scene.

  • @PLOttawa ha! I thought the same thing when I saw this.

  • @JTX44 Lol. Guess he was real excited.

  • why did bobby get made? he didnt even wack someone until years later on once already in and he wasn't a earner. how did he prove himself? and it couldn't have been because of his father because others weren't allowed despite being born into it.

  • Ade...........marry me!

  • Adriana is one nice piece of ass.

  • @billybattsforprez you know youtube is filled with jerkoffs with an opinion. That's a given. The only reasons I'm even on this fed magnet is to prey on the weak minded marks, take full advantage of theunbeleivable amount of unfucked pussy that exists here and last but not least learn by monitoring consensus to be light years ahead of these poor bastards. The only reason I even spoke was to show you how easy it is to find marks just begging to be had here!

  • I wonder what the crow simbols

  • @TheWackadooFuckhead What the fuck do you know you prick fuck . call me a guinea again fuckin Finnoch. No it wasn't dumb ass. The Dicalvacante's thjing is an urban myth. You been watching too many crime Docu's Mickey! Where'd you get that Gay ass name from? Bitch made punk.

  • @wizeguy681 lol that wakadoofuckhead is a fuckin riccione

  • If he really loved her he would've let her live

  • This wasn't about La Cosa Nostra guys hate to burst your bubble. This whole series wads based on the Camorra,. Even their European ties weren't based in Sicily, they were based in Napoli. And who runs the boot? The Camorra

  • @wizeguy681 actually it is la cosa nostra you dipshit guinea fuck, its based on the decavalcante family - cosa nostra

  • This wasn't about La Cosa Nostra guys hate to burst your bubble. This whole series wads based on the Camorra,.

  • "I love you, Christopher"

    "You better"

Chris is just like a wop version of Han Solo. Lol!

  • If either of them expressed reservations that guy would have gotten a bullet in their heads (in real-life ceremonies they are asked that questions and they know how to answer it - though these men are so dedicated they would never say no) ... a little sad how proud they are to be crooks and murders.

  • I'd give her my Cheese Dawg!

  • WOW!! I think i gotta watch the season over again because i can't remember this!! :D

  • "This family comes before everything else...before your wife, your children, your mother and your father." Woah woah wtf! I thought the whole reason for the origination of organized crime was to support the family. Man, compare these modern mobsters to say the old-timer Vito Corleone. He never even cheated on his wife for chrissake! lol

  • @mugatu5000 Just read La Cosa Nostra, and find out how the Mafia respects you if you cheat on your wife

  • @sportysbuddy Don't have time for that lol. Are you implying that it's the ultimate shame or they wouldn't give a shit. Because I even remember in "Casino," Pesci's, Stone's and De Niro's characters lives were threatened if word got out Pesci was screwing around with De Niro's wife; even De Niro's character was threatened even though he was cheated on!

So this is a pretty big difference huh?

  • @mugatu5000 Boy, Casino is a MOVIE Pesci and DeNiro are not in the mafia and don't give me that "Are you implying bullshit. I was born in Gambino territory, I actually HAVE a chance of being made if I ever become part of the Mafia. I am a NYC born guinea. I'm not like those jersey shore fags, that is my brother. Trust me I have time to read I do watch mafia movies but most are incorrect, you don't have to be 100% Italian to get made, as long as your FATHER is it is fine, you can be 50%

  • @sportysbuddy That's cool. But what I wanted to know is what do they say in the "La Cosa Nostra" about cheating on your wife and putting your own children above this exclusive little membership. Because I just thought it was ironic that the mafia in the sopranos have diverged greatly from the old-timers to make them put this family over their blood family. My only source is Mario Puzo.

  • @sportysbuddy no, you had to be 100% italian until john gotti changed the rules so his son could get made

  • @chaunceyvioli Wrong, John Gotti Sr. himself was half Russian so that means the rules were changed for him.

  • @sportysbuddy John Gotti Sr wasn't half-Russian he was fully Italian.

  • @sportysbuddy No it was John Gotti Jr his mom was Russian & she was married to John Gotti Sr, but yea according to Michael Franzeze (who was a captain in the Columbo Family so i think he would know lol) they changed the rules later and now its just your father that has to be fully Italian

  • Comment removed

  • @mugatu5000 totally agreed.

  • Support the crime family. Your immediate family is less important to you when your made. When your made the Family comes before God, wife, kids, parents. Everything in your personal life is less important. The business is the most important thing in your life when your made. Vito Corloene was not a real gangster. He was based off of Joe Bonanno. The old time gangsters are Lucky Luciano, Carlo Gambino, Tony Accardo, Frank Nitti, Vito Genovese, Tommy Lucchese, Joe Profaci, Joe Colombo.

  • @mugatu5000 Nah. The whole point of it was money. Always.

  • @mugatu5000 This is the way the la cosa nostra always been. while the godfather was a great movie, it was more of a romantic story rather than what really goes on in the life of a mobster

  • @mugatu5000 This has always been the case bud. Even in The Godfather (Part II), remember Michael ordering the hit on Fredo? The Family ALWAYS comes first, before even your own family...

  • @mugatu5000 yeh that before wife and children is one of the 10 commandments

  • @mugatu5000 It has always been common for mobsters to have both wife, kids and a girlfriend on the side

  • @mugatu5000

I think Vito would say the same about "our thing."

It literally is more important then your blood family.

  • @mugatu5000 Well he should have. Vito's wife was only with him because of who he was.

  • @mugatu5000

No. The "family" Corleone was talking about was his crime family, just like Tony's talking about the DiMeos. Someone who really cares about his family never gets into crime.

  • @mugatu5000 they say family, but that only means the wallets of the top capos. the rest of the world can burn as far as they are concerned.

  • Tommy had his shine box

  • bloody brilliant scene

  • paulie enjoys it to make christopher feel like tommy in "goodfellas"

  • seeing a black crow (in mythology) or whatever always meant doom or death. (Family or die, is pretty much what the big mans said).. Sometimes it means bad luck? Just superstition.

  • what does the brid means?

  • whats the symbolic meaning of that bird?

  • You'd be mad to enter this...

  • who was that other dude getting made?

  • @shatterjack Eugene Pontecorvo

He's the guy that hangs himself.

  • You've seen too many movies. The first shot after that sentence Christopher just looks like Joe Pesci ready to be made in Goodfellas.

  • yo wot episode is this in?

  • @mikefan09 Season 3: Episode 3: Fortunate Son.

  • @MrSaturdayNight7 thanks

  • I use to be in the Mafia and that's exactly how it is when you get made.

  • @rodthepimp how could u used to be? isnt it once in always in til death. "theres no leaving this thing of ours" lol.

    just curious.

  • hey alright! he's getting a promotion in the waste management organization. now he can associate with the other waste management consultants in new jersey to talk about waste management and other waste management related issues...and nothing more!

  • @mahavishnuxc

no he got made into the mafia

  • @bigtaxdizzle no....tony always says that he is a waste management consultant who represents a waste management business and acts as boss and christopher works for him and is getting a promotion apparently thats why he is happy right? but i dont know why that ritual in his house is needed for in the waste management business.

  • "God forbid, if you get sick or something happens and you can't earn we'll take care of you"...lol yeah fucking right!

  • Comment removed

  • these are the most screwed up low lives ! and they care so much about wearing the best suit and showing "respect" and "honor" !

glad the world is rid of gangsters and they only exist in stories.

  • @nevertheless123 They only exist in stories? You are so naive, there are gangsters all over the planet and if you think the mob doesn't exist why don't you google "The Lucchese Crime Family" and tell me what you see.

  • @nevertheless123 ur a ingorant son of a bitch, maybe if u read up on history you would see that the "gansters" that are so bad arnt soo bad they helped italians in the time of depression so el chewto mi pieto

  • @MJCINC hahahahah gangsters arent so bad hehhe

you sure are one lowlife to talk in support of these low lives. The feds are around the corner to get you moron.

maybe you are hiding under your fake armani suite.

if you really had an education and read history you wouldn't be supporting gangsters.

    moron. and loser.

  • @nevertheless123 my armani suit? im 15 but mmm how do u think my family got here from italy u moron? yupp making less than a dollar a day will def get you to the united states

    LET ME TRY AGAIN.

    JUST shut THE FUCK UP

  • wow, i thought it would be bigger than this.. like a free-mason initiation ceremony in a giant collosium somewhere in europe... with cloaks, swords, and blindfolds.

  • @Whyrweherereally

Nah, the mafia purposely keep these things low key so as not to draw attention from the feds and such.

  • @MobKnowledge yeh i know i was jst jking

  • @MobKnowledge obviously they fail becasue of the huge bust yesterday

  • @Whyrweherereally You're obviously not a free mason either.

  • @amoskowitz0103 ..did i say i was??

  • Thats Gene Pontecorrvo right. sorry for my spelling

  • Be in hell*

  • I never got it with the bird. What was Chrisis Problem that a bird watched how he got a made man.Can someone tell me please? Thanks!

  • @TheBozkurtS

The bird symbolizes purity and goodness, when the bird left, his afterlife was rest assured not going to be in heaven, but instead hell. Basically, he sold his soul to evil.

  • @HAILFROMTHE941

Thanks! Is this an american symbol?I´m from europe and never heared about it!

  • @TheBozkurtS

Not sure TBH, it must be some kind of religious symbolism.

  • @HAILFROMTHE941 so lets say their was an orange cat inthe window wtf does that mean?

  • @espinoza2110

    I don't know lol

  • "he sat on one ass cheek the ride ovaaaa" LMAOO

  • Whyd she have to be a rat bitch :(
