Not sure about other states, but here in Nebraska, the law demands a cyclist riding at night use a front light. A rear light is permitted, but may not take the place of a red reflector.
One point you left out is to use a good lighting system. All too often, I see people riding at night without using their lights. Reflectors just don't do the job.
Ironically, I was biking to work this morning when some lady decides to zoom out of a parking lot in front of me (I was on the main street). I slam on my breaks to avoid hitting her, and take a pretty good spill. The car behind me was watching, and yelled at her for me, then came up to check on me. If they hadn't said anything, she would've just been on her merry way, happy to have saved that 1 second (literally).
what type of bike?

@kse6063 Steed is a Trek 7500FX, a commuter bike (sort of a hybrid between a road bike and a mountain bike).

I see that you keep your bike indoors with you. Is this correct? TRUST NO 1 Mr. Franco

THIS IS CORRECT. I have learned from your example:) (and from having my last bike, Berry White, stolen from the carport) DX

True. Lighting - front and rear - is super-important. I didn't mention it because I didn't happen to ride anytime in the video when I'd need lights.
I should make it clear for anyone watching that the points I mention do not make an exhaustive list for bicycle safety. Do your research and be safe!
