Sony Vegas is a really good software, but you need a decent computer to run it.

I never understood why 3GB of RAM wasn't enough to run it smoothly.

How do u get the text shown with the video? Like the video keeps playing and you can see the text anyways

@Defencevideos just make sure that you use the text with the checkered boarded background.( Transparent )

and then put that above the video that you want the text to be shown.

@28PSG you can try dragging the text clip ontop of the vid. You can also try dragging the text layer onto another layer thats above the vid. You can make a new layer by right clicking and going to insert vid track. Try puting the text clip under the clip if none of the others work. But make sure that the text is transparent. The text should have a checkered background

Okay just one problem, I was messing around with the layout of stuff and can't find the tabs that say "Project Media, Explorer, Transitions, etc"

@TheCrazyguns2 is alright dude, its extremely easy. All you have to do is go to "file" and then go down to "import" an then find the song you want. You can also find the song you want and just left click hold and drag it into the project media. Both ways work

@WorksProduction No, I do that. But having to do that when I'm making a top ten is a pain because I have to shorten 10-20 text clips. I'm asking if there is a way to make it so that when I create a new text event, it starts at a length of 1sec instead of 10sec.

Hey Every time I click the Generate media box on my clip, it post it on my top tools thingy that has the video and my FX.....when i press CTR click it gives me a pop up screen which i had b4 now when i click it, it goes to the tool bar and is really small box idk how to get it back to my old setting idk how i messed it up. but if i click the little x it always come back when i click the generate mida icon in the time line please help

@BriaEvan when you go to media generators. Some of the text will be in a checkerboarded background, Use that text and drop it over/above the video that you want the text to pop over. Remember the checkerboard backgrounds = transparency--- which means invisible :P Thanks for the question!

@MegaGomezs ok good question. When u insert the text make sure the text you drag in, has a checkerboard background. And drag that text above your video clip and it should show both :). Or you can drag a text with black background above the video clip and go to Video Effects and find chroma keyer. Drag tht in to the text and then switch the color to black. Hope this helped... Its kinda tricky to explain thru text
