  • a cat get mice

  • please upload "Flip Flap" 1948.

  • Considering that Herman has in fact drowned the poor cat (yes, I am a cat-lover) the final scene with all the vengeful cat ghosts is only fitting and proper! One of the few times Herman loses, sort of!

  • someone put the video of "the bored cuckoo".

  • anybodi can tell me the words of the song at 2:09?thanks

  • @Maureddu90 He did it oh boy cheese!

  • @spike354 no,i mean the other,"pussy in the well how put it in..."

  • @Maureddu90 He is referring to the cat when he says "Pussy"

  • @Maureddu90 He's singing the words wrong but the tune is essentially correct. the words are "ding dong dell, pussy's in the well. who put her in? Little hirman grim. who pulled her out? big johny stout. now wasn't that a noughty boy to try to drown a poor pussy cat, who never did him any harm, but catch the mice in his fathers barn." It's an old nursery rhyme.

  • 1:45 always made me laugh when i was little whether i was watching it or it just popped in my head

  • this is like the original Tom and Jerry

  • I really hate nta. but 1966 is better.

  • NOT AGAIN, THAT WAS NTA MUSIC! at 0:01

  • for a moment there, i thought his name was HYMEN :P

  • classic cartoons!! my mom watched this, i watched this, and i'll put mu kids to watch this :)

  • I can't believe that the legendary Arnold Stang voiced Herman.

  • hahahahahaha

  • I remember this so many memories of watchin this over 100 times

  • Seems to be cut at the, drawing a coffin on the cat part, they leave the original opening and cut the coffin part, unless this is an old 8mm film for kids from the 1960's.

  • i still have harvey toon vhs lol

  • It's so funny but I think poor (german) cat!

  • yes, 'poor' german cat! hahaaaaaahaha..

    great cartoon though

  • THIS ISH FUNNY! NICE VIDEO! :)

  • funny how that in the opening sequence, the title cards slightly shook

  • That was actually sort of common as films grew older. Lucky for us that restoration process elimanted the shaking for the most part.

  • ...original studio titles and opening theme! Who

wouldn't want to watch a cartoon with such well-

    orchestrated opening music?

  • Holy cow! How did this one slip past U.M.& M. and NTA? Their vandalism of the proud Paramount Noveltoon titles didn't infect this one. It's also nice to hear the Noveltoon opening theme and not see a Harveytoon banner splashed over it.

  • So THAT's what the original opening was like. I grew up in the Harveytoon era, so I had no idea.

  • Awesome cartoon, and it has studio opening titles!

  • Must be the first cartoon that has crying puddles
