I know its an old card, will it run mw2 and mw3 smooth? Might be a stupid question though, cause mw2 runs pretty well on my low profile videocard (GT430 OC Edition).

I have this card and i'm very pleased with it. The fan is noisy but you get used to it after a while so it's no big deal. over clocked it to max and it runs great with 70% fan speed. Great review' keep it up.

I got an XFX 4870 1GB running 800Mhz core 1100Mhz mem!!! Love the card and I loved this video!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Temps seemed high w that cooler. My stock cooler runs at 70% constant can't even hear the fan I get to about 62C on full load after 6 hours or so of play

i have two of it in CF and run at 850/1100 each~ after crysis for around 8hrs, the GPUs temps at 48C~ do you need to do cable managements and add more fans and get an airy casing? anything above 50C seems high to me~ will lower the life~

What are you talking about? The video shows idle is 40C, and when its loaded doing 3d its 50C and up, take a closer look at the video screens.

Hi, yes you can overclock it, just make sure you tun on the FAN manually higher.

i just ordered my last parts needed for my new build except my graphics card which i'll buy later on, since my mobo onboard graphics is really good, i can save up for a better card. Thinking about the ATI 4870, but was wondering should i go with a high end 4870 512 or a low end 4870 1gb, the cost is pretty much the same. But my monitor is only 1440x900. Not sure if i'll be upgrading monitor anytime soon. Right now i just want the best card i can get for around these prices ($200-$250).

550w is good. make sure your 12v rails isn't too low. some power supply market high Watts with low rails.

I have a 550W corsair which have a 41w 12v single rail. which is good for these cards

Yeah. I forgot all about it but I found a shortcut on my desktop and it just opened Nvidia control panel. I think it's integrated into the Nvidia control panel.

Anyways, I started downloading it a few seconds prior to the email and the download is going hella slow (100kB/sec).
