Probably the best ball anyone has came out with in the last 10 years. This ball works amazingly on sport shots especially the longer ones, it doesn't matter how you drill this ball it will work great.

I bought the mission 2 months ago and havent revived it yet Ive throw 150+ games on it and its still the strongest ball Ive thrown. I have a 3.5 and a virtual energy and Im about to buy the invasion I say that this ball is probably top3 balls in terms of how strong it is.

I just drilled up a pin-up hardball, and am wondering how a pin-down mission would compliment it. I am also thinking about the hardcore hammer grind as more of a midlane ball. Thanks Guys

I'm currently using Lane#1 Big Curve and also Motiv TR2 and I noticed that the Motiv TR2 hooks more than Lane#1 Big Curve cos Motiv TR2 coverstock eats the oil/absorbs the oil quicker...

Would Ebonite Mission give me a bigger hook compared to those 2 balls? The house oil lanes are somewhat medium to heavy oil lane condition.. And also I sanded both the two bowling balls to I think it was 750 Grit Abrasion...

@Muggel65 use dawn dish soap with worm water with a sponge use the soft side not the brissle side use worm water then after you done rinse the ball of then use a paper towl to dry it off then you should be good to go

Currently i'm using either a columbia 300 bedlam and a Raw Hammer Burn.

i'm considering the mission based on a slitly earlier hook and stronger threw the midlane...

how does the mission compare to these balls, is it a stronger ball or am i better off going a different route?

@mocitypearland 4 by 4? 4 inches with the pin from your axis and 4 inches with the CG? Since this ball is mass bias, the standard 4x4 layout shouldn't apply.

@KB24ts6 There are a lot of good heavy oil balls on the market. It depends on your game as to which one will work best for you. The Virtual Gravity, Mutant Cell, Invasion, Bounty Hunter, After Math, Mission, Jigsaw are all heavy oil balls. I would say that if you trust your pro shop, then go with their suggestion.

look Xerex..i have got all that ball..and all the reaction of ball in the lane is comming from the layout (drilling)..only what you need to know that is the surface..and all that ball are really difrent..so if you want some fucking hook..jigsaw corner is best..abou the invasion you need to have clear back end of lane.becasue if there is a litlle of oil that ball dont want to hook..and mission have hook..but that ball goes more comfortable..

@Xzerex Corner hooks earlier than a Mission, and an Invasion hooks earlier than a Corner.

I'm torn between getting the Mission, and the Mutant Cell. Word of mouth is the Mission is easier to control and is more versitile ball. Yet others swear by the Mutant Cell and it's ease to get through heavy oil and still hit hard. My only concern with the Mutant cell is when the lanes dry up, it will be harder to control. Any suggestions?

@waitdied Two completely different balls. The Invasion hooks a lot earlier on the lane. The Mission is more like a Virtual Gravity by Storm.

@lvc2257 Control is what I look for in a ball for nationals. The Invasion will give you a lot more early hook than the Mission.

@Booker435 The Mission will hook less overall, I think. The Invasion is a much earlier hooking ball. The Mission will go longer and make a harder move. For some people's eyes, they will see the Mission hooking more because of the backend movement.

I LOVED where you combined the two to make an awesome. I was like huh at first but yeah. I just got this ball TODAY. Somehow I won it but I'm going to learn next season. Would you recommend the Mission on Wooden lanes because that is what I bowl on and my Raw Psycho gets pretty scratch up at the way it normally spins. I'm just afraid that that would happen for the mission.

Reign is much longer. A lot more of a skid/flip type ball reaction.

I would recommend the Ebonite Mission. They did a great job with this ball. I bought mine on Feb 8th and Love it. This is the best ball that I have ever purchased. It's strong on the backend as you can see in most videos. I purchased the ball on recommendation from the pro shop where I bowl. Again the Mission is the way to go if you want a good ball and to improve your average a bit. My first game out of the box was a 256 and I have a 193 average.

I just wonder what the drilling was for the evolve her was using. I have the evolve and it is pretty strong in my hands, although I do have it drilled 12:00 stacked leverage. almost unuseable after the first game on fresh. Also it was weird that on the us open pattern, they put away the mission and moved left and threw the magic action. just wondering

just got the mission on friday and this ball exceeds any other ebonite ball i have thrown. the hook is amazing, ball hooks more then the one for sure i own both the one and one pearl, and wessyweezy09 i have the mission drilled exactly like your One, the mission moves about i would say 6-8 boards more

@wessyweezy09 i think the mission would be stronger than the one, how strong depending on the finish u put on each of those balls. but ive seen people throwing this and it looks nice down the lane, its really strong but its controlable, it wont give u too much snap which makes it easy to adjust when the oil moves.

that's because the invasion was not designed for a house shot, and it's unusable on most.

@SonWayward yes the mission does hook a lot, however; pearlized balls have a tendancy to appear to hook more, since most of the motion is on the backend. The invasion does have some backend, but it rolls much earlier. Again, it all depends on how you have the ball drilled too. A ball with a 4.5 x 6 with a 4 inch buffer will have more backend than if you drill the same ball 3.3/8 x 3.3/8

My Mission is very strong through the whole lane, I opted not to get the Invasion for a few reasons, mainly because I would never need something that aggressive... although I would also recommend to NOT drill your Mission toooo strong, mine is already a tad too much for the THS.
