  • Wish the new drivers didnt suck

  • witch displays are you using?

  • zehahahaha,

    scope at close range :D

  • The only reason why i want to run crossfireX or SLI... makes your system look more badass compaired to my friend's mac.

  • Voice is pretty annoying. Please stop the upward inflections

  • @Vizzo69s You obviously have no sense of humor. Why so serious?

  • @GeekSud I apologise for being blunt. The video was very informative for me though. Thank you.

  • @Vizzo69s I'm sorry for being a douche. I love you. <3.

  • it says i cant duplicate over multiple graphics processor....

(even if i plug all 3 screens into one graphics card...)

  • He is jackass

  • CORSAIR SPEAKERS :D II VWANT

  • How about micro stuttering?

  • I get the same FPS rating from a m11x running BF3 on Low lol

  • @desertfox1792 Yeah, and I'm sure you're running it on 3 monitors at 5904x1080, too...

  • WHY YOU SCREAMING lol nice video

  • Great video, but the voice! Oh my..

  • why such a low fps on single and crossfire i get average of 65 with 2x hd 5770 with high settings ....only running single screen atm. would have thought 2x 6970 with eye infinity would be better than that ......

  • @sacasual He's using eyefinity

  • @sacasual That and he has HBOA on, which is stupid because it hardly improves the lighting effects.

  • @sacasual 5770's are actually slightly faster i believe..

  • @sacasual You're fucking retarded. You just said that you're only on one screen... Please just give up with computers as you obviously know nothing.

  • HA 27 fps on 3 screens is crap lol , i wonder how he would live with a geforce 210

  • @AFGuidesHD 27fps on 3x 1080p screens is crap??? thats one card, one gpu, powering hd picture to 3 seperate monitors, all multiplexed and kept in phase.. plus settings like AA, AF, etc all up max..... so 27fps isnt bad at all.....

  • @ThePCgamer1989 i know i was being sarcy i said i wonder how he could live with a geforce 210 which coulnd't handle notepad on that setup

  • @ThePCgamer1989 it is impressive that a single card can do that but who plays shooters at 27 fps? might as well as do it on a console then.

  • @MMK86 Its 3 screens!! If you would do the same 1 one screen you would get 27*3=81 fps

  • I played Bad company maxed out with min of 15fps, I found it as easy as if I had 100fps.

  • 25fps completly unplayable? Your some kind of a mutant with a doouble frames per second eye view? ;P

  • Im the 30.000 viewer Wohooooo

  • aaaaaaaaahhhhhhh! i can't find find 6970 anymore even 6950 is out of stock....... pls help people!!!!!!

  • o before anyone says anything i should note that my gts 450 is the Fermi super clocked edition running at 882MHz instead of its standard 783MHz

  • whats funny is i am running the same exact cpu, 8 gigs of sector 5 G series Ram, and a nvidia gts 450 (that i got free when i RMA'ed my 9800GT back to evga), i can get Battlefield Bad Company 2 with all settings maxed running at 1920x1200 and 16x AA to run a butter smooth 40-50 FPS lol (Granted i am not running the unnecessary 3 screens like he is lol ) O and wtf is this *i cant play at 25 fps BS..you do realize that's 1fps faster then FILM.....sigh ok done nerd rageing :3

  • Three 6970s * to correct my previous post.

  • I would love to see a video of true CrossfireX multi gpu compatibility being put to work. At least three 6960s but from what I understand at that point nvidia's SLI system has better scaling.

  • Linus makes PC gaming live long... :D XD!!!

  • Thanks Linus. because of this Video, I picked up another 6970!

  • there is a bottleneck at the cpu!! ;)

  • It wasn't the card you just suck at bad co 2

  • Kid, I like your show. Couple ideas for you: Wear a shirt with your name embroidered on it. Ask the marketing dept of the product your doing a review of to send you a logod shirt for you to wear for the review. Don't expect to get it, but ask them to embroider your name on it, if they don't, you have it done. It can be like $5 if you're frinedly with someone with a machine. or just make your own iron on that looks embroidered. Just a thought, free shirts, and enforcing the brand that is you.

  • @Mahhn Why dont you embroid your face onto your own ass.

  • @damnedcarrot whats your problem? and no thanks

  • with the scaling you have to remember the profiles for amd releases fix's most to almost all the crossfire scaling issue/performance

  • Hey, it seems he worked out alittle bit, he used to be a twig..

  • You know maybe a real 6970 run the game better I'll try that out to see.

  • @killerv135 This was a 6970

  • Wouldn't 2 crossfire bridges double the data transfer between the cards?

  • @R4Zy3L technical it would be possible though the cards have no improvement in performance with multiple crossfire bridges because theyre not a bottle neck

  • You have a single 6970 and you say it's "unplayable" ??????? SNOB.

  • so 850w will be enough to run 2 of these bad boys?

  • @indestruciblea7x ATI's video cards seem to run more power efficient especially for the performance because it practically snaps NVIDIA and if not is a really close competitor , But doesn't take as much power even under full load you'll see like a 60W difference :P that's nearly a whole light bulb ! :D But yeah 850W high efficiency PSU is gonna deliver some clean good power to them 2 >:D.

  • Awesome Look!!!!!!!!!

  • Sorry for my English

  • He isn't using a 6970 if you watch how to build video of that system he said 6870

  • that computer is awesome mine is exactly the same except i have 16 gigs of ram and a different case

  • lol.. i'm exactly there.. its so boring to finish it and i die.. alot...

  • @johnchristian0131 sound like you dont know what puberty is because you dont puberty dumb ass

  • 6:23 you sound very portal-esque

  • YOU SOUND LIKE YOU DIDN'T PUBERTY YET!

  • what's the performance difference with two 8x port?

  • @wisico640 its like almost 0% performance decrease if your running on 8x 8x thats fine you pretty much wont see a difference between 16x and 8x

  • dude you talk too loudly...

  • 1.36 i lol'd

  • Forgot to mention: all settings on max or high, VSYNC off because it limits your fps to your monitor refresh rate, which is 60hz in my case.

  • The reason I bought 2 HD's 6970 is because I found them open box for cheap, otherwise I would've stayed with my single flushed 6950.

  • 6:05 oh yehh, put that in there.

  • do both the pci-e slot have to be 16x or can it be a single 16x and the other a 8x?

  • @SOAD35721 they can be both 4x lol. doesnt make much difference

  • @Justebaying. Don't you only get 1 even tho there is a total of two. Also I think you should work on ur analogy it works and it's nice but it's a little to confusing :)

  • You can't ground yourself on the powersupply or the case if it's painted.

    Thumbs up so everyone know!

  • n00b question! if i do crossfire X with a 6870 do i get 2GB of GDDR5 memory, or just 1 GB?

  • @MirokuAsakura 2Gb of GDDR5 memory overall, however what crossfire does is that it shares its memories and have more freedom. Think of this way. You have two barrels that's connected by a huge hollow pipe with one barrel filled full with oranges so you don't have any space for it to move around, but since you have another empty barrel and is connected by a huge hollow pipe it'll travel through the pipe and have more rooms to move around. Hopefully it helped

  • LIER 6950 not 70!!!!!!!

  • i have north q black magic 850watts can handle 2 6970 in crossfire pls

  • nice monitors OMG what are they i want themm NOW

  • How you accomplish this with SLI? Mind making a video please?

  • what monitors are you using, they seem to have a very small frames

  • Wish i can afford a rig like that be smecksie

  • 27 FPS is unplayable? I guess maybe on a game with all max settings. On my laptop I got as low as 2 FPS playing WoW (yes, I know playing on a laptop was the main mistake), but THAT was unplayable. I wish I had 27 FPS at that time.

  • why do you need 2 of the same carDS? dosnt it work with 2 diffrent cards?

  • how much power supply do you need

  • Is it possible to crossfire a XFX Radeon HD 6870 with a 650W psu?

  • @gokill96 That is recommended

  • @gokill96 600W is recommended, so i guess 650W i perfect? :D

  • 0o 5:14 your power supply (and case) is powder coated and when you touch it you are isolated from ground by the painting coat so you didn't ground your self :S

  • a single 6970 managed around 25 FPS on 3 screens? thats ok but what would the FPS be if it was just a single screen?

What would be better, in terms of performance, a Single 5970 or GTX 580 or Crossfire 6970

  • @HdramaTran Crossfire 6970, but that means more heat and more power.

  • @HdramaTran 6970 x 2.

the 6900 series have really good scaling most benchmarks show 1.8-2.0 scaling.

  • @HdramaTran i searched for that myself ! the Crossfire 6970 ist the best opinion !! just orderd a secound 6970 and a 850 psu :)

  • @HdramaTran the fps on one screen would be huge i get 50 fps on a 5770 on high

  • Im still running a 3870 and its 2011.....damn

  • 6 pin plus 8 pin (two of which are invisible to Humans lol

  • @colouredbills wish we could see you fucking moron if you would do better, linus is gr8 ! keep up the good videos

  • @colouredbills Linus kicks ass, dude. He gets to the point, never stumbles and always knows his shit. Fuck you.

  • can u have 2 cards @ crossfire mode without the 3 screens? cos i want a better fps in game but not the 3 screens.

  • @tjfelix1993 Absolutely.

  • @tjfelix1993 yes you can

  • At 1:30 I laughed at him picking EASY as difficulty, then he startled me at 1:35 by staring at me. :D

  • at the start, how did u run all three screens with 1 graphics card

  • Can I use 2 crossfire bridges

  • @rulezian1 Yes, but it won't make a performance difference.

  • @rulezian1 yea

  • @jeff77789 does it give better performace?

  • @rulezian1 It's theoretically the same. I don't know about actual performance increases though. You Can either use One or two. I would use two so when you get a third card you won't lose that crossfire bridge that you need for the third card.=P i don't think it gives better performance but all the velocity micro computers come with two crossfire bridges pre-installed

  • wish i had those monitors

  • ULTIMATE MACHINE! i love the ram cooler

  • that's why nvidia use 2 cards to run 3 monitors

  • Can you buy two 6950 and make a 6970 CrossfireX configuration?Would that work? That would be neat

  • i get stuttering on crossfire X with two 6870 even with 120fps i get stuttering .

  • you know whats stupid. you ask me to post my thoughts on gtx560, but y block comments? This is my first comment on your videos.

  • nice screens

  • Comment removed

  • When will you be doing LinusSexTips?

  • @fr1ngeTV When he finds your mother (:

  • @fr1ngeTV Creepy!

  • nice video i prefer watching videos like these

  • How many excuses can one man have for dieing in the game?

  • how come that when i installed my crossfire in my computer my CCC sayd from start that they found a crossfire link and if i want to enable it when u have to go in to the profile???

  • Hey, i am using everything the same, except i am using 1090T OCed to 3.6GHz and 6870 Xfire, and i am able to get 57 fps average on dual Monitor with all HIGH and 16x AA

so OCing your Processor does help alot too

  • @TweFoji it helps!

  • A real gamer can't talk and play at the same time. lol

  • triple HD res???? anti aliasing dont even help with that high res wow if you turn it off you dont need a second 6970 plus disable HBAO its useless. with all of that, you can get like 10-15 fps more -_-

  • I think your accoustics need a bit of tuning, your voice was getting washed out when facing the camera, but it was fine when looking inside the PC starting from about 4:00

  • I want to buy that system, but i live in europe :(

  • @tekirx i live in jersey channel islands and that didn't stop me buying a £1200 custom pc

  • Linus u wanna play black ops sometime??

  • Did he used fraps to show us the fps ???

  • @Alkahdaniel

    yes he did

  • @askvien thx !

  • @Alkahdaniel FRAPs, despite being a in-game recording tool, is also used for grabbing FPS benchmark results and/or to show the current FPS of the game. So yes, he did. =P

    contest.ncix.com

  • @scooter1151 thank you ;D

  • can you review AZZA Hurrican 2000 cass

  • screw the screws

  • I like what you explain but, I will not pay for another video card to have only 50% power horse more.

  • @Diloman64 it does NOT have only 50% more power in crossfire. It's all depending on which resolutions you play on, which games and so on. It can be all the way up to 100% scaling in games.

  • @Diloman64 the reason he saw such a minor increase in performance was because at such an enourmous resolution the videocards ram gets filled up. At just single HD resolution (1920x1080) you can expect 95% performance increase or so.

  • @Diloman64 It was a 100% more, he had around 20 first, the he got 40. 100%

  • 2 things, ...1-did you not screw the thumb screws back in when u put the card in?! and 2-do u have steam or xfire? lol

o and camera man, ur getting better and better =]

  • how come you didn't go to settings to prove that it was on the same settings that u had before you crossfire the cards?????......

  • @MrGreedy1004 i meant after you crossfire the cards not before (sry)

  • so he was actually using an unlocked 6950 and a 6970?

  • @Luger718A1

no he was using two 6970s because you have to have the same GPU for CrossfireX or SLI to work

  • @billni5561

    Lmao

  • @billni5561 one had 2 6 pins one had an 8 pin and a 6 pin.... i think it could work like that..

  • i like how at 6:00 he clearly lies to us by saying that he plugs in an 8 and 6 pin connector when its just 2 six pin connectors lol. cuz he's using a 6950 lol

  • @Wallyinurmouth Caught that, did you? Good eye. It's a 6950 engineering sample that I have flashed (and verified to be working correctly) to a 6970 BIOS. I thought it would be confusing to most viewers to try to explain that though.

  • @NCIXcom

so you can crossfire a 6970 and a 6950? as long as you flash the 6950?... hummm thought the two gpu had to be the same, ie. two 6970s or two 6950s

  • @mrDMxtreme It's 6970 when it's flashed

  • @NCIXcom whats the point of even buying a 6970. you can change a 6950 into a 6970

  • @NCIXcom wait if a 6950 only uses 2 6 pins, and a 6970 uses a 6 pin and an 8 pin, how can it possible get enough power?

  • @NCIXcom you should do a how to guide on flashing the 6950 to an 6970

  • @NCIXcom It's so sad that they seemed to have disabled that feature.

  • @NCIXcom It's so sad they disabled that. I was going to get one but now I think I will go with a 570.

  • @NCIXcom It's so sad they disabled that. I was going to get one but now I think I will go with a 570. By the way, did you just unlock the shaders or is it a fully functioning 6970?

  • @NCIXcom hey... uh... could you please donate a 250 dollar gaming pc... my pc sucks so hard.... it cant play black ops on the lowest setting possible to mankind and i try to overclock it.. no good luck... please... if you have some spare parts..

  • Ultimate? With 4GB ram?

  • @TheNecrocoil for gaming 4GB is fine. dont think youll see a performance boost with more then that

  • @TheNecrocoil I have 8Gb in my AMD machine but only a 6850

  • @TheNecrocoil anything more isn`t really necessary for gaming.

  • I like how I can run bfbc2 eyefinity with a single 6870 on high settings

  • @soupkin w/ 3 monitors?

  • @Baker11101 Yes with 3 23 inch screens everything on high but aa or whatever on 1x

  • 1 ?, i see some ppl do 2 way crossfire with 2 crossfire bridge. is that better?
