even if you didn't hit the right frets it still sounded pretty good! but now I remember... electric gipsy! awesome song! good luck in this, I really think you've got pretty good chances! but at least to me the fun part is composing and participating, a prize would be a nice to have but it's not the motivation
i got it some month ago, its a lefty. by now i love the guitar, but it took me quite a while to get used to it. i played a carvin with jumbo frets and a whammy bar before. this one has medium sized frets, that make it a bit harder to play in my opinion and a fixed bridge.
love the section at 1'03... are you using any delay there or is it pure finger powa ? :)
how do you record the video ? I have lots of trouble.. my photo camera has a limitation of 10m video and generates a 10 gigabyte mov file which is a pain to edit later on and sync to audio. Is that a webcam ? It's pretty good!
Oh... and great job!! Definitely one of the best! I'll try to make my entry today too!
@gthurnher cool check it out on my profile... not as good as yours but it was for fun! After listening a couple times to your rendition I think you have very good chances of winning!
Well done !

the tapped harmonics part and the little riff before the delay part reminds me of Andy Timmons... which is always a good thing :)

maybe with the little difference that he would hit the right frets with his picking hand. ;-)

@mindwalkr
thanks man!
i had a boss dd-3 plugged in that was set to i think its called a "dotted 8th note" rhythm.
i thought it fitted well over the major part.
to your recording question:
it was actually the first time ever i recorded a video with my mac , so i'm a newbie in terms of video recording and can't really give you any tips.
i used the built in webcam in my i-mac and recorded the video using i-movie. soundwise i used garageband and guitar rig 3.
i'm looking forward to your entry!
