At 0.25 so true, most of my music loving belongs in the 50s and 60s, mostly Elvis and Rock N Roll, this stuff was recorded when Vinyl was main stream, nothing can beat Rock N Roll coming from an LP, the thing is old music that is available on CDs now is just taken from the original analog source and compressed and raped to buggery, so why get a CD or digital versions when Vinyl smokes it, also now days vinyl = very cheap music $1 can get you a whole album.
I wished I lived the US, in England our music stores are very few and far between and most only stock CDs and DVD which is totally useless to me, this is the kind of store I'm looking for, I would be an old man before I finished looking through this record store, most of my vinyl comes through ebay or boot sales.
my only FKing source is ebay, beacuse in my country dont exist record stores... just cds.. soooooo is too expensive to me, beacuse walking in stores you can find cheap records etc... on ebay are more expensive, more! shipping to my country... is shame :(
@anderzom use discogs man! you'll find way better deals if you are patient, and no bidding wars. make an account, add a bunch of records to your wanted list, and set it to notify your email when they come up for sale.
@originalrecoil thank you, yes Im thinking that, about the rating of discogs are fine? I mean I cant see pictures etc... maybe my problem = I just want MINT records, so sometimes is hard find in that condition, but I go to try ;) thanks again
@anderzom - everybody takes a chance when they are buying it - even if it says mint - sometimes it shows up in a condition less than what it is listed as. every now and then it happens to me. but you can always email the buyer and negotiate to take it back, etc. if not - give them a bad rating. So - to avoid getting burned: check the seller's rating. only buy from sellers who A - have sold a lot of records & B-have a very high rating. like 98% - 100%. of people are happy with their purchase.
continued: always read the sellers reviews and avoid new sellers.. they could be a scam. if everyone seems happy with the guy, you're probably safe. I've done literally hundreds of big orders from England in my years as a DJ and I've only been scammed twice. you just have to be street-wise. if it seems too good to be true - don't go for it. I used to sell rare records online since '99, if you have any more questions, feel free to send me a message on discogs - /user/Recoil - happy hunting
Ive just started collecting, and to be honest I didnt understand the appeal until I held my first vinyl in my hand. Its the feeling of holding the actual physical representation of the music. Almost as if you could reach in the air and pull out the sound waves. Its not like just a bunch of 0s and 1s like on a cd or mp3.
I have collected moe than 3000 records, as I think that they sound even better than CD's. My aunt tried to convinc me to sell my collection, saying that I have no money and out of work as I refused, and she just shook her head. I have hard to find collection, mostly country, some classic rock.
@patsaxon RIGHT ON! Part of collecting is the thrill of the chase! going after the one album that so rare & expensive, and possibly finding it in near mint conditon for a couple of bucks. Usually in the wrong bin. Hidden by some other collector. That's why you go thru all Record racks! Now you posess it, Cherrish it's Art & beauty.
I've been a vinyl junkie since the late 60's. It's easy for addicts like myself to find jobs in record stores because they know I'll spend my paycheck where I work...!!
People need to check out Recordland in Calgary Alberta, Canada. They've got over 200,000 original vinyl LPs stocked, spanning all genres...from the most obscure progressive, hard rock and psychedelic bands of the 60s/70s...Bull Angus, Leafhound, Goblin, Hard Meat, etc, to jazz/fusion, blues, and classical. You name it, they've got it, with another 1,000,000 LP's waiting in their massive storage area just waiting to be stocked. It's the closest I've ever seen to a vinyl version of Aladdin's Cave
Notice how the Blimp is always mentioned when it comes to talking about music? It does not matter if the comment is negative or positive because Led Zeppelin will always be on top and no band will ever come close to getting close to that peak. Well, maybe The Smiths will be remembered in the same kind of fame that started a few years after Zeppelin disbanded. Other than those two bands, no one will ever be better....Great vinyl store, loved the video.
@PrimalHateGrind I love Mars Volta. No need to get personal over a YT comment. Zeppelin influenced Mars Volta and if I had to pick one band that has the balls and talent in true music it would be TMV. Again, it was only a comment and my favorite band will always be the Blimp. I have seen TMV and yes, they are really good. I really dig Cedric's vocal style and Omar plays just a good live as in the studio. "Page of concrete
@Paneeks1960 I was just trolling, personally I love Zeppelin of course and respect will always be given but man we've all heard all their shit throughout the years, so many new sick bands emerging. I saw Opus Dai open up for The Mars Volta last year, check them out if you haven't heard them.
@PrimalHateGrind You got it. I will check them out. Hopefully I will be able to find something on them via eBay or my local alternative record store. Thanks, good making a connect with you.
@mrhoffame Hey, i was just going to post this video link to your channel but when i scrolled down to your comments you've obviously discovered it too! :P lol

@JosephODonnellMusic I saw this video suggested next to one of yours! Then I recognized the guy and the store! It's in my area! I've been there a few times. Even with my low budget, I manage to find some good rarities I can't leave behind!
And thanks to eBay, how you can collect blurs the line between a "hobby" and a "business"; I do the buy as many as possible for the lowest price, keep the ones you like, and sell the rest method as described. Then you can hold on to those records you rarely see, yet often from your home if you don't want the commercial atmosphere.

This Store is not REAL Collectable store compare with COSMOS Records in Toronto, Canada. He is the BEST Collectable Vinyl store more than Japan.
If you DIGGIN' Jazz, RareGroove, SOUL, DISCO, BRASIL. MUST VISIT COSMOS Records in Toronto, CANADA.
