  • great lesson thanks

  • greensleeves was written by henry the 8th

  • Not everyone has such a lengthy ring finger. That F chord is a killer. What was the other way to do it?

  • haha first time i watch a full tutorial, nice teaching!

  • hay thanks alot ..just picked up a mandolin and watched your video and bamo now im playin 3 chord mandolin stuff..wow thank you..great instrument and lesson..

  • His shirt is so metal.

  • Brad, you really inspires me to study a lot.

    Thanks for this classes.

    Greetings from Brazil.

    =D

  • nice shirt

  • Wonderful video, very helpful :D

  • I have big stubby fingers and found the mandolin very hard to play cleanly. I have just bought a quatro put mandola strings on, tuned it up a tone and a half higher than mandolin and it sounds brilliant.

  • this sounds like a good option for me as well... i have the same problem and it makes it difficult for me to learn. thanks for this

  • congratulations on the video, i learned new chords with it!

  • Thanks very much, great helping me learn, just wish i had a nicer mandolin, the string tension on fender mandolins is AGONISING!

  • It seems like no matter how many different ways i tune it, it always sounds too metallic and choppy.

  • Press harder. If you mean you are getting a clicky sound that will help out.

  • ecellent thank you

  • I recently started playing mandolin and your videos have been pretty helpful, and interesting. Keep up the good work!

  • I learned a lot from this video - mainly how to play an Am chord so that it's actually Am and not A5...

    I assume it's called A5.

    Shut up Frank...

    Good video, anyway.

  • Yeah, a minor has a c note in it, which is the note that makes it minor (the whole chord is A,C,E).

    A major is C# instead of just a C (A, C#, E)

And A5 is exactly what is says on the tin,

An A, and the fifth note of the scale (E)

    x

  • amazing, where can i learn the melody?

  • mandolin is a cool ass instrument.

    good job

    cheers

  • haha thanks!

  • I purchased this song yesterday and I'm loving it. Its great for beggingers to learn or for anyone in general to play. My friend and I are learning together , and simple two parters like this are exactly what we were looking for.
