just a bit of geeky information for everyone. The Controls in the cybership at 1:29, are the same controls used in the tenth planet (in the human spaceship), and the controls in lestersons Lab in the Power of the Daleks. Its probably in others too. :D
I like the new doctor who's (Except i'm not too keen on Matt Smith...) But these episodes were brilliant! I had most of the episodes on video mnus the ones that the BBC lost! The music was so fantastic because it scared me so much! Seriously, this was the scariest thing I had ever seen and actually probably still is because of nostalgic fear of the brilliantly creepy music O.O
The Moonbase continues to scare me ever since I saw the remaining episodes as a child on video. I think the soundtrack has a big part to play in this. So tense and spooky.
I saw this one a few times in my childhood (all the Troughton stories were repeated several times on the ABC, Australia). Like most of the Troughton adventures, this story was very tense and frightening. In the Hartnell years, children used to hide behind the sofa when Dr Who was on TV. In the Troughton years, their parents joined them :)
@Gallifrey1991 That piece of music is in a number of Dr. Who's actually, including in one of the episodes of the 3rd Doctor's Inferno - well at least on the DVD it's that way, I don't know if it was originally in that scene in Inferno. Anyway I also remember that music in 1rst Doctor's Edge of Destruction.
You can download free versions of early Doctor Who soundtracks on Google. I downloaded music from Tomb of the Cybermen, which has all 3 parts of Space Adventures on it. But unfortunately not the tune from when Jules and Franz are beaten to death by the cybermen and when they are tampering with the ariel. Another bit I love is when the cyberman breaks in via the store room.
Ace music in billions of ways.

@SynthWho That's so true! It's like the scariest cyberman adventure. I used to watch the existing episodes as a kid as well.

Very nice, love how well isolated the cybermen's leitmotif is! Gotta love Troughton's era...

To me this is the cybermen theme not this new one. I do like the new cybermen but I don't like revenge to nemesis cybermen.

It's a shame most of the second Doctor's stories are missing; he is my favourite, and new fans like me will never be able to see them.

In my opinion, This is the best Cyberman Story. It has Science Fiction written all over it.
It's so sad half of it is missing.
