@MrYeahnahmate ---I have to admit my foot is not as fast as Bonhams, he had an incredibly fast right foot, like Ian Paice, Ludwig had a pedal years ago called SpeedKing, I had one and it was fast, with that I could match Bonham, thanks very much for the compliments, my wife would very much argue the genius part ; )
thanks, I feel that, even though I find it boisterous to say, treading on Sacred Ground, but the truth is for some strange reason I have always been able to connect with Keith, that I guess is scary
yes, by all accounts and the guy that spent the most time with him- Dougal Butler, Keith never played or practiced when the Who was off, he partied partied partied, by the Quad tour he was starting to pay the piper, it sucks that no one could help him, and many tried, I firmly believe that after Keith accidently killed his driver he was punishing himself, possibly subconciously trying to kill himself, a cry for help?, but I think it haunted him.
well yes an no, if you listen, pretty much everything Keith did is there, plus what I added is basically his style from other tunes, mostly a Quadrophenia influence, some may hate me for saying this and that's OK, but I like to think this is what Keith would have done or better had he been in good shape, because when they did the WRU sessions he hadn't played for years and would soon die fro his excesses.
