Around late 1999 - he start having a girlfriend, falling in love, talking on the mic, and wrestlers start to stand up to him and make him look like a fool. If you want to see "the monster" Kane - search for Kane 1997 - 1998

Even now that he's unmasked he still could have a chance at being that sadistic monster that he used to be, but the writers obviously aren't letting that happen. Love this costume, probably my favorite Kane has ever looked. Full mask and full suit but with mostly black instead of red. It gave him a really dark menacing look.

I really enjoy the storyline just after this when X-Pac, Tori and the Mcmahon/Helmsley faction screwed kane so he was on his own again and he kicked their asses when he returned.

I don't. I love the classic Kane costume, while I do like this one as well. Kane looked his absolute best during his "rampage" era when he interupted matches when he was by himself, etc. His mask was meaner looking, he was in tip top shape. Just all around awesome. I really didn't like the half mask thing all that much.

The first few weeks after unmasking, Kane was unstoppable.. much like his earlier days. 2005-6 alliance with Big Show was good.
