The 1984 genocide ( not anti - Sikh riots ) was the biggest in the history of independent India , with 12 , 000 - 20 , 000 Sikhs being killed all over India nearly 4000 of them in Delhi alone , property worth hundreds of crores destroyed . It is shame on part of Indian democracy that the justice has not still been done ( 24 yrs later ) Are sikhs not citizens of India . Sikhs r to be blamed partly for this . The efforts of Sikhs have been very poorly directed & unfocussed The Sikh money is still
being wasted on Gurudwara elections & politics Nagar Kirtans , building Gurudwaras , Langars whereas the perpetrators of 1984 genocide r roaming free . It is matter of great satisfaction ( & shame ) that it took a non - Sikh ( Shonali Bose ) to initiate a venture like this which shall show the true history & true face of this so called secular ( theocratic ) democracy called India to the whole world as well as young generation of Sikhs who r getting lost in daily pleasures & drugs , alcohal
@dalbirk there have been movies in the past released by sikhs on 1984, but u have to realize that politicians were involved in this as well. some even account that the great amitabh bachchan was there as well before his movie career took off. when justice wasn't given 24 years ago, do u really think it will be given now? they made a SIKH prime minister apologize to the Sikhs for 1984 massacres. I love india but as a sikh this will always haunt me.
I was there. 9 am the shots rang out. We ran home from school. The trucks burnt and burst for 12 days. Then we went back to school. Our sikh friends came to class with their hair cut. End of the story.
Or so we think..It was the complascence of the bourgoise Indian middle class.
1984 was the beginning of 1992, and 2002..Let us not forget. And Pray for peace.
I feel horrible. LIke I was guilty even though I was just a kid.
The Sikhs are basically Brahmin [Read Hindu]. There have been misuse of the power of the Brahmin, as any other countries and the region of this world, but there could be no hatred between the brothers. Yes, brothers do have their own view of any thing but they are still brothers...brothers in arms...Amen..
@brahmmaputra Sikhs don't hail from the Brahmin caste, read your history again. They are actually Kshatriyas (warrior caste), and so were all the Guru's. However, caste system plays no role for Sikhs anyways.

Fuck apologies, fuck retribution, we will wipe out the Brahmin race.
This is a war of two nations - SIKHS AND BRAHMINS- light and darkness- not a political riot... WE WILL DESTROY THE DARKNESS.
