@joelakastud123 Well, you can't fault his enthusiasm for music. I have to dissent though, and I'll tell you why. I've never heard anything that he's played that was actually difficult or even approaching classical technique. He plays about as well as an 'average' bar musician. A twelve year old with two years classical training could wax him on anything classical....period. I'd change that view if I heard something of his that was actually great playing.

Esteban shows us one thing...."marketing." He never studied with Segovia, he is a fraud, he plays at the level of a moderate bar musician, a twelve year old with two years of classical under his/her belt could outplay this fraud with ease. BUT....he is a a great marketer. Create an image, a story (albeit made up) and market.....he's a joke, a rich joke, and he's laughing all the way to the bank. Nothing musically legitimate about him.

@MarquisEstelle he may not have studied with segovia and he might not be a technical as most classical guitarists but he is still a great guitarist and composer and if there is one thing he has that most master guitarists dont its the kindness to take the time to teach beginners a simple walkthrough on how to play for free so give respect when its due

I play yamaha and gibson accoustics and like them. A friend bought the Estaban and quit playing after the third week. He gave me the Esstaban and quite frankly even tho I don't like it as well as the ones I usually play, its not too bad. It keeps its tuning pretty well and I will probably give it to a newbie. Some of the Estabans ( made in China ) are not as good as others. This one got lucky. It sounds as good as some of the 300. to 400. guits at the guitar center.

I wouldn't buy the Estaban because as I mentioned earlier some are not as good as others. You are rolling the dice. Buy a good starter and if you decide not to keep it, you can get something for it.

Before you take it upon yourself to judge someone,you should know their story.Esteban and his mother, was in a bad car accident.They were hit by a drunk driver.It left him with severe nerve damage in both hands and some vision problems.This all happened before these videos were done,so when you wanna talk crap about one of the best classical guitarists,keep in mind his accomplishments.Then go to a music store and look for his music and your own and see who has more on the shelf...

This man is a liar. He lied about studying under Segovia and even went as far as saying he was one of only fourteen guitarists Andres Segovia endorsed. He only began making this claim after Segovia's death, when the claim could obviously not be verified... You can just tell by looking at and listening to this guy that he is a schiester. Anytime I've had a student come in with one of these guitars, 90% of them were crap. The "lesson" book that comes with the guitars is crap, too. "Esteban" himself is the Kenny G. of flamenco guitar. He didn't study with Andres Segovia; Segovia played strict classical guitar, and while there is a lot of overlap between this and flamenco, it's not what Segovia did.

LAST COMMENT. Esteban himself may have flaws and -brag- about his guitars, but he has every right to brag. Why? Because he does so without rudeness, disrespect, and confidence. His guitars for *learning* and *beginners* are I'd say of some of the highest quality for the money you could ever possibly pay, especially with all the bonuses you get. I got the Crystal Heart set back last year for a XMAS gift even after testing 20 guitars at Mills Music. The Esteban outperformed by far.

@Felor1216 Yeah. I have had an Esteban Acoustic for 4 years now. It is a great guitar especially for starters. It's more of like a guitar that is on top of the category which advanced players would love to play with, but cheap just like guitars for beginners. Bottom line is that this is the best guitar for beginners and average great guitars for advanced. Hands down AMAZING.
