Mr. Duguid, your comments are in line with a long list of people responsible for attempting to shove this plan down Norther York Region`s throat without a real public process. If you did your homework, you would be aware that this plant is NOT for King Township (unless Newmarket is moving up to King). OPA engineers have selected this site based on engineering principles. Expecting us to believe there was ever public consideration is shameful and misleading. Can't wait for the election.
I guess the "need" for electricity (in the rest of the province) trumps the Planning Act, the Greenbelt Plan, the Lake Simcoe Protection Plan, and the Toxic Reduction Act. Power producers are powerful campaign contributors to the Ontario Liberals.
