i can do this but there is a little problem with mine, its not very smooth or as compact as yours was, any tips? iv been trying diffrent ways to do it, i drive a 1998 saturn sl1 (4 cylinder yea i know its bad) front wheel drive, automatic (also bad) any tips other then try it in a diffrent car because i have tried it in a standard VW beetle
@bloodyrunesd try whipping it VERY slightly the other way before doing the reverse 180. be careful because if you do it just a little bit too much, you'll the the 180 in the opposite direction of what you want, just make sure you have a lot of space.
you know I just realized the reason mine are so tight also has to do with the fact that im still pushing the gas after i start turning the wheel. don't fuck up your tranny but this might be whats making mine nicer.
Well done 180s! Let me clear up a few things. I've been doing these for decades going forward and reverse in RWD, FWD, and AWD. The technique is the same in all cases in reverse; enough speed, shift to neutral, turn steering wheel quickly, straighten wheel as car slides around, engage forward gear, accelerate. Doing this won't break your differential or tranny. You CAN roll over high center of gravity vehicles; only do it with those on ice and snow.
@3rdGuyFromLeft If you got an auto, its easier... Reverse, then turn the wheel about half way and pop into neutral at same time, and once you start straightening out, go into drive. I only know RWD cars though. Might be diff. in FWD
So, lemme get this straight. Assuming you have an all-wheel or rear-wheel drive vehicle with ABS, you're not using your foot or hand brakes. You then accelerate to around 20-30 MPH give or take, come off the accelerator rapidly, and apply a half to 3/4 turn to the wheel. Now I'm not quite sure on this, did I miss something?
all good man but i had a lot done to that car including a big turbo and many upgrades.. check it out at cardomain, my username is also nstabl on there.... i think you'll like it, without the ugly black rims in front (i put them on just for the 180s)
nice control, good stopping --I give it a 7.5 only because iam a speed freak and a 10 is pure perfection. Feel free to check mine out, I tied to hit 60 but was a little shy, and the drivers rear suspension was completly broke off............
This is not hard at all. I tried it for the first time today in my 5sp bmw 325i and got it all you have to doo is reverse and spin the wheel. I do give this guy props on how clean he did it tho.
anything OVER 15 mph!!!!!! if you do it under you will turn and your car will keep going until it hits something!!! make sure you go over then yank it, you'll have it kick around in no time!
Lol i don't think it would scare her, she loves fast cars and motor bikes... she says the danger turns her on.. so as you can imagine, it's always a fast drive back to my flat hehe.
look bitch go to my videos and watch me do a 360 at almost 60 miles per hour in the same car with 19" rims on it. then you can talk. til then, go fuck yourself
Lol... you guys are lame.. 60 mph is possible, and I could gladly show you anytime, I just wish I had a camera and a car (I ride a bike) for reals, don't comment if you have never tried it (I have).
Damn. That's the best j-turn I've seen, and at slow speeds. This vid is so much better than that crappy "Lesson on how to do a J turn" vid. You should post how you did the J turn in the info section.
it easyer to go in reverse and turn your wheel one way eg(left) then when you reach about 90o turn it the opposite way(right) easyer to try it when it is wet to slides bit more easer
... no brake!! just go reverse about 15-20 mph NOT ANY SLOWER OR YOU WILL CRASH!!! and yank the wheel a half turn in the direction you want the car to turn (i hope you have the logic to see which way will turn it which) .. easy
yes, normally, but vid clearly shows rears locking up while car is still going straight so I assume he used handbrake to lock them up, then turned the wheel left , then right as the car reached 90 deg.
I did it in my home can you belive it

u need to turn the wheel opposit and then sling it back, let completely go of wheel
vlr999 9 months ago in playlist Defensive Driving
Yeah this is really easy to do. You don't even have to go that fast if you have a light car to throw around just make sure u have enough room.

Dude, the J turn needs alot more skill than just spinning your car round at 60. Also, most cars probably won't do 60 in reverse.

His car will kindred666. Stop babying him, and instead try to make him get better. That´s all I have to say.
