How would we know of the things unseen in the new covenant without these wonderful "pictures" that God gave us in the old. There is a message to be seen in every piece of furnishings of the tabernacle. The "altar" speaks concerning the removal of sin, the "laver" of baptism. God has provided many "types and shadows" which he uses to uncover the New Covenant.
