If it was the seasons before...when the title says "Lana's Return" is she returning back from the dead?? Is that why Clark was so shocked to see her? A lot of Clois purists tend to have this perception that Lois is the end-all-be-all for Clark and he should have no one else (even I thought that way too.), but they forget that Clark did not become Superman because of Lois. He is who he is because of his adopted parents. He'll be Superman with or without her. Besides, even if they hook up, he will outlive Lois by centuries if not several millenia. Will that make him hang up the cape? Come on!

She did marry Lex because Lionel threatened her to kill Clark if she doesn't...Then she reveals to Clark that she knows the truth about his powers...Clark saves her from a bounce of threads...and in the final episode of season 6 she pretend to be dead by an car explosion nad she leaves to Japan...In the beginning of season 7 we see where she is and in s07e03 she returns to Smallville...You HAVE to see the whole episodes...You don't know what you missing...!!! ;)
