how do i mirror the image? i have a mac and office but no picture manager for some reason. i dont have photoshop or ilustrator and iphoto blows...HELP PLEASE
AM TRYING TO HAVE SOME LETTERING FROM ONE SHOULDER GOING ACROSS TO THE OTHER SHOULDER? DO I NEED BIGGER TRANSFER PAPER OR HOW WOULD YOU DO IT??? LET ME KNOW THANKS
@locs661 dude ur gonna need a huge printer or those presses they use 4 custom made shirts wich i believe are pretty expensive, if not im sure theres a couple of places that'll do custom shirts 4 u cuz they carry those presses just look up sum stores
They just put out these new image transfer sheets that print soft, stretchy, vibrant full color prints on almost all materials. The print will not crack or fade and the sheets are not expensive. click on my channel to view the demo video and details.
use photoshop or illustrator if possible, when re sizing always hold down shift so you dont distort the image and pull from the corner not the sides....no offence to expert village but please use experts....
do i have to use an ink jet printer or could i just use a regular printer...plz could someone help me..it seems that no one is answering this question...
Walmart sells "transfer paper". I think you need one of those ink-jet ones, not a "laser". I did it once long time ago and needed a reminder by watching this video.
if you still need the picture manager, you click on all program, and find the microsoft office folder, and then click on that. then find the microsoft office tools, and then click on that, then it should be there. you dont have to download anything
It can't be a Lazer printer cuz you iron the image on. A lazer printer uses heat thats why the paper comes out warm right after you print it...it will melt the transfer paper. You need an inkjet printer.
sorry guyz!!!will find a bloody body in your closet hanging there haunting you and will kill you and ur family and if u want to stop this just sends this to 6 videos in 30 mins or this will happen good luck
so if u leave the paper that u printed on lets say for a week its rubbish ryt because the ink is dry idk .... plz let me know bcauze i would have jus wasted lyk 6 of my papers n theyre not cheap loool im a beginner anyways o yh n which side do u print on the one with the lnes or the blank side
Most heat transfers should be used within a day of printing them for best results. Check out my videos for tutorials on screen printing tee shirts. Questions welcome. There is a link on my channel page for my website which has a Tips & Advice page with many resources in the Forums section.
I am guessing he got it off the internet and opened it in Microsoft Office Pixture Manager. I already had that software on my computer when my dad set it up so im not sure about how to get it.
would using photo ink be more waterproof when washing? my shirt bled the red when washed. I was ticked!!! So will photo ink work better? please help!!!!
Not sure about that, I don't think any ink for an inkjet or even laser printer would be considered more "waterproof" than another. I usually wash everything in cold water, so I have never experienced bleeding colors with transfers.
I'm curious, did your design have a lot of red in it and it faded after you washed it, or did you wash with some other colors that may have had red in them that actually caused the bleeding?
No special program is needed. Most computers already contain a picture editing program such as "Paint", "Microsoft image editor", Adobe Elements" etc...
After that, you just need a color printer and the transfer paper.
It's best to use at least a 50% cotton blend in the fabric. Because you will be using a very high heat setting, pressure, and the length of time (several seconds in one area) the heat is in contact with the fabric and could damage it if it's other than cotton, such as silk.
Now, I'm assuming that the green line doesn't come on the transfer paper when you buy it? That being said, it looked to me that the line was applied on a laminated-looking surface, and the transfer was printed on the regular paper side, correct?
Hi Crate...actually the green line does come on the transfer paper already. That's so you know which side is the side to print on, based on the type of printer you're using you will either have the line facing you or away from you so that the design is printed on the side that does not have the green line. The "laminated" surface of the green line does look that way, since it is sorta slick...the print side is more of a matte finish.
hi yanik, this was done using Microsoft picture Manager. once you open your image, click on the "edit picture" tab on the top of the page, this will open a box on the right side of the screen, then click on "rotate and flip" this opens another menu, and you'll see flip horizontal or flip vertical...flip horizontal allows you to "mirror" the image.
Other picture programs usually have a "mirror" edit button in them, such as Coreal or Adobie.
Screen printing is totally different than heat pressing. Most people don't have the means or skills to do screen printing, which requires various inks, templates, screens, and various processing equipment. Screen printing is a wonderful option but not practical for most people to do at home stuff.
LOL...not really dannyboy. If you had asked me that a couple of years ago I would say yes, now with subliminal inks, newer types of transfers including the rhinestone and foil types...heat pressing is more cost and time effective over screen printing with comparable results. Both types have a place and serve a purpose, it's up to each individual as to which one best suits their wallets and their clients needs.
Really depends on how the shirt is cared for after and the type of transfer that is used. washing inside out with cool water and no bleach will help keep it looking good for long time. Subliminal inks actually turn to gas when heat is applied which makes the ink get into the fabric of the shirt rather than on top of the fabric like most heat transfers...these are really soft transfers and make the shirt not have that plastic feel and looks more vintage. BTW...love your art!
So sorry about that, I should stick with what is exactly known as which is Sublimation ink. I sometimes call it "subliminal" but it's not like the ink actually has a brain...lol...my mistake. Search for Sublimation ink and you will find a huge selection of sources.
