Brilliant video of what was a brilliant gala, that's also some of the best video quality I've seen on here, thumbs up =) I spied myself at 02:45, green fleece, black hat stood on the bank.

@letmadnessbegin Its always funny to spot yourself in other peoples videos, I think so anyway. At least if you can see someone else in your shot, that means you arent both getting the exact same shot! It was indeed a brilliant event, and my only regret is that I couldnt stick around longer. Your shed scenes and low angled shots cannot be bettered Mr. Hanglands , the close-ups taken rekindle the joy ,awe,(and slight wariness !) young trainspotters felt when encountering these creatures "up-close and personal" in the days of steam.

Its is good to get up close to the valve gear and side rods, just gets a bit wearing constantly wiping the crud and water off the lens! @Langtoftphotography You just cant go wrong photographing or filming steam - its so easy becuase these are such photogenic beasts. They almost jump out and press the shutter release for you.
