The great thing about the FF games is that there are so many. So that makes for a wide range of fans. So what if 1 fan fell in love with the PS 1 games and another fell in love with FFI on the old Nitendo? FF on the Xbox could allow for a new fanbase of the games to come; and Dissidia too.
I chose The Legend of Zelda: Ocerina of Time over Final Fantasy VII and I don't regret it one bit. In my opinion, Final Fantasy IV and VI will always be the best.
there is nothing wrong with it..... it just has too many cd's i think. my favorite ff games are 6 and 9. people complained just like they did with tekken 6, which sucked on both consoles.
I personally think that the last great final fantasy was on nintendo,this was before it became commercial and was an actual good game.I played the very very first final fantasy when it was new 23 years ago,and i still remember it when i got it and own it.
@piromaniac9999 Final Fantasy is just marketing now, i would like to see a new company come up with newer ideas for rpgs,howny times are we going to play with the same characters and same old story lines,i much rather play rpgs on 8 bit or 16bit consoles,i was playing phantasy star on sonic collection.
@regionfree1 ff7 is overrated just because it was the first ps3 game with pre rendered almost 3d graphics,but not quite.
And ff8 seemed to lack both gameplay and story qualities,too much linearity.
Both these games get way too much attention for what they are,no game in other series get this amount of rabid fanboys,and i have played:Dragon quest,several of the games.Mother1 and 2,which is:earthbound zero and earthbound for the snes.Suikoden 12 4 and 5.(suikoden 4 is shit)
every thing you said i agree with everything you said. i just think that ff should have stayed with sony after the switch from nintendo. i have played 1,7,crisis core,dirge of cerberus,ultima edition(ff7) ffx(favorite),12,dissidia. i love the series and the reason i dont like the xbox is because i grew up with sony my whole life
Well said mate, to be honest I played most of the ff games till 8 and then stopped. I saw most of the rest at my mate's and they left me a bit cold - they seemed like rehashes to me .......
dude its the same people bitching about metal gear solid rising being on 360 they say it should stay on ps3 but metal gear also has its roots in nes thats where it started.
i agree 100% percent,its funny to me how people bitch and moan when a games roots are on another system,makes no sense to me,metal gear's roots were nes/msx just like final fantasy roots are on nes/ to me these people are wack as fuck.

And,did you know ultima series inspired square to make final fantasy series and dragon warrior? its true,i read it somewhere.
I actually like the american games more now than the final fantasy series japanese games.
