Here's a tip 4 U.....Put your camera in a clear sealable plastic bag 2 protect it.

Your right, I think it may of muffled the sound as the microphone was built into the camera.

I switched to wood your indeed correct wood is better than regular drywall.

how come your using drywall as backing? i find its almost impossible to get a decent screw depth with and doesn't offer as much support as a piece of wood would.
